Ordered the steak risotto and the lump crab and bacon succotash side. The risotto was ok, but steak was very rare (ordered medium rare) and poorly seared. The succotash had more of suggestion of crab in the form of white crumbs, but only served to add a strong gamey smell and taste for the dish. Server did not remove the item from the bill even having only taken one bite and after communicating the dish was not good. She was attentive otherwise. Vibe was dead at 8pm on a Friday aside from a few geriatrics. Learn from my mistake, don’t go here.

We were surprised at the decor. The bar area is nicer than the dining area. The food was subpar. I’ve had shrimp & grits from plenty of establishments and this is the first time I wasn’t given a spoon. The grilled asparagus was awful (our server took it off the bill). The best thing about our dinner was the Pepsi and the waitress.

The food was pretty good. They weren’t ready for dinner when we arrived at 3 so some dinner items weren’t available. We had the short ribs and medallion filets. The tomato soup was excellent.

Our first visit here and we were not disappointed. The Liberty Oak’s staff was friendly and the food was very delicious.
Our server, Laurel, was fantastic and attentive. My dish, ribeye steak (medium rare), was perfectly prepared and super tender. As a steak lover, this was among the best I’ve had…. and I’ve had plenty. The truffle fries and fried oysters were tasty and different, very good. Red Velvet cake and Stawberry shortcake desserts were very delicious. This spot is a hidden gem in downtown Greensboro and I highly recommend giving them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I’m extremely disappointed, 60 dollars for 2 plates of this.. the vegetables are definitely frozen and bland.. salmon ok, but this is definitely not worth 60 bucks just salmon laid on top of frozen veggies.. and it was my first and probably last time going here. The owner responded that it was a 16.00 plate I can definitely show my receipt, I literally paid 57.00 for 2 plates of this

The food was good. The service was great. I like the decor as well. I do think the food is a little overpriced. The fried oysters are so delicious! The shrimp and grits are scrumptious!!! I highly recommend. Steak risotto was good and the burger was too. Our server was awesome! She was very friendly. I took one star off because the burger and steak wasn’t cooked as ordered but it was still delicious! I didn’t like the crabdip pita. The drinks were good as well. I will return. I also don’t like parking downtown but that’s not their fault lol. Overall this is a great restaurant!

This was a relatives favorite place and we found ourselves in Gbo and decided to hit it up in her honor. Just as good as I remembered. I had the shrimp and grits and truly one of best iterations of that dish I’ve ever had. One dining partner got the Dynamite shrimp appetizer and the other got the Sargent Pepper. Sandwich with pasta salad. We all enjoyed it. Sometimes the old favorites are a disappointment but not this place. Kind of like that old face sweatshirt that fits better and just makes you feel good. Our server was great and that dining room is just too cool. Great bar and a small but eclectic craft beer selection.

I was a little hesitant about this place after seeing poor reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised (and I have fairly high food standards). The food was DELICIOUS and the servings were quite large! Really really tasty. Everyone in our party loved their food as well!

Incredible food with an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs and the atmosphere is amazing with a dining room that contains an original tin ceiling and an awesome bar with woodwork over 100 years old. The food ranges from fancy well seasoned short rib risotto, blackened salmon with succotash, shrimp and grits that is better than I had on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. There is a gorgeous outdoor patio with plenty of seating and they are even pet friendly with the outdoor area. They have a great wait staff and the best thing is they are owned by a local family and the owner is actually the chef working in the kitchen and completely hands-on.

Food was ok. I got the fried oysters and crab cakes with Brussel sprouts. Fried oysters was a little more liquid than I would like, but crab cakes was good. Brussel sprouts need a little more flavoring, but with the bourbon sauce they were good. My friend said his steak was average. Customer service was amazing! And oddly… their water tasted really good. It wasn’t sink tap water
Overall good place and location, but not my #1 choice in the area.
