Hidden gem vibes. Had dinner here with a friend on a Friday night. I had the lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl with vegetarian spring roll while friend had the beef pho with regular spring rolls (as appy). Food was delicious but highlight for me were the crunchy and hot rice paper wrapped spring rolls. So good. Staff were super friendly, fast and efficient. Washrooms spotless. 3 parking spots in the rear of the restaurant but plenty of free street parking. Will go back to try their lunch combo specials Mon to Thursdays.

The Missus and I visited Love for Pho at its new location on Kingsway. Parking was available mainly at the adjacent side streets. We were there on a weekday and service was fine as it was not too busy.

We had the lunch combo specials of Lemongrass Chicken on Rice and the Chicken Banh Mi Sandwich. Flavour wise, the food was above average and the specials were of good value. We both enjoyed our Vietnamese coffee. We will need to try the Pho on our next visit.

UPDATE:
I returned for the Beef Brisket Pho and the Missus, a dry pork & seafood rice noodle bowl. We had another Chicken Banh Mi to share though the restaurant ran out of cilantro. The food was your standard quality, nothing exceptional. It would be nice to have a dollar tip option instead of percentages when cashing out. Minimum tipping starts at 15%.

I’ve been such into Vietnamese food recently. 😛

When I ordered the Vegetarian Spring rolls with Vermicelli (Bún Chà Giò Chay), I was expecting a light dinner. When it came out, there were 3 spring rolls. It was quite a big bowl of food!

The rolls are made with rice paper. It’s a different texture of crispiness. At the table, there’s chili oil, hoisin sauce and sriracha sauce.

The waitress gave me more dipping sauce. 😀

Generous portions. Good value!

I’m so glad we came here. My boyfriend and I have been on a hunt for the best pho in the lower mainlands, and out of at least 15 different spots, this has got to be in the top 3. The broth was very nicely balanced, fragrant but not overpowering. The server was lovely and energetic and helped to make it a very pleasant experience. We will be back 🙂

First time here after my brother in law told me about it. Their combo menu is definitely a good deal! $14.95 for a bowl of pho, a springroll and an ice coffee….where are you going to find value like this in Vancouver?

Man, their dry noodles, specifically their egg noodles (43 if you order it dry and 51) are super good. Them being very ok with changing 43 from a soup noodle to a dry noodle was really convenient for us.

Pho overall was not bad. I order #19. Broth was good. Nothing too special but still good enough. I also like the location for its convenience, especially being near the busses stations at Rupert and Killarney (at the 19).

I didn’t get a chance to order their drinks but from what I’ve seen, be sure to check them out and review some of them here!

Have been ordering takeout here regularly since they opened the new location – the older woman with the longer bob haircut is lovely and knows what she’s doing. The two women with shorter haircuts consistently get orders wrong and insist that the iced coffees are supposed to be less than halfway full. I’ve ordered Vietnamese iced coffee at so many places in Vancouver and it’s never served as such a small amount for the price of $7.50. And the fact that the other nice woman who works there makes it correctly further proves that it shouldn’t be served less than half full. I’ve attached a photo of the coffee that costs $7.50 – and this is after my walk home and had already melted a bit.

Came for dinner on a Wednesday night, lots of tables available. Had the large Hu Tieu Kho (dry rice noodles for $18.50). It was good. Nice portion size. I know it’s dry noodles, but did wish the noodles were coated with a bit more soy sauce for flavour, to contrast the drier protein. There were a couple small pieces of harder meat (maybe the tendon or heart) that were tough and inedible. It also came with a small bowl of pork/chicken bone soup with green onions. Family members had the large Pho Tai Nam Gan ($17.50) and Com 3 Mon with Lemongrass Chicken, Shredded Pork and Meatloaf ($17.95). No issues with the food. The pho broth was nice, and we like adding the complimentary sprouts and lime to enhance the flavour.

Service was prompt and the food came out quickly. Small but clean and simple interior, with around 9 tables that can fit 4-6 people. There is no parking lot, but it should be easy to find street parking in the vicinity. I used a debit card, and wasn’t a fan of the tip options at payment, which started at 15%. I asked if there was a custom amount option, and was told it was only the options on the screen (there was a no tip option). In the future, if you want to pay less than 15% tip, bring cash. That being said, I’d return and look forward to trying other options.

Excellent for a healthy portion of pho. We had the vegetarian version and a shredded chicken with extra vegetables. We liked the tofu and veggie bowl the best. Even the small serving will conquer a hungry appetite. Most others were ordering the large bowls so perhaps another indication regulars like the food here. The service was friendly and personal and the kitchen very customer oriented. We had no trouble eating gluten free. The place is clean and well maintained. The lighting is a little on the bright side for dining after dark. Prices are good. The food was prepared quickly. We left very satisfied.

Recently visited Love for Pho at their new locale in May. Much brighter inside.

Had the Garlic Butter Wings ($14.99) which were a bit oily. The Vietnamese Bowl with spring roll and chicken ($17.95) includes 2 spring rolls and was pretty good. We also had the House Special Pho ($18) and Deep Fried Wontons ($12.75). Wontons were meaty on the inside with pork and shrimp filling – we liked this dish the best.

Mental note that the chili sauce on the table is super spicy.
