When walking in, we weren’t greeted and cashier (Green hair and facial piercings) looked a bit annoyed that we walked in. This was our first time coming to this location and we had questions about the menu. The cashier seemed annoyed that we were asking questions. The restaurants wasn’t busy besides two girls that were sitting in the dining area. The cashier seemed nicer to them as they were leaving but still seemed reluctant to speak to me while I was ordering and asking questions. I had ordered the Crispy potato corn dog and a Brown sugar Bubble milk tea. And my cousin had the Oreo rolled ice cream. Despite the slight attitude from the cashier, I still gave the them a tip and was very polite but the manners were not returned. Not sure what the problem was but the way we were treated as customers was very unprofessional.
Overall, the atmosphere, music and food were really nice but the customer service dampened the experience.
Wow, this place blew my expectations out of the water! Our family was desperate for some ramen after having an unsuccessful beach trip (I really wish Google could stay up on Covid closings) and I found this place on our way home. Bonus that it had bubble tea too! We ordered online and our food was ready in 15 minutes. We had a ramen/bubble tea tailgate party in the parking lot.
The tonkatsu broth was perfect (we got spicy and reg – spicy was a nice heat but not too much). I especially loved how they packaged the noodles and toppings separately (maybe that’s standard? I don’t usually get ramen take out). We could have traveled quite a while before eating if we hadn’t wanted to eat in the parking lot. And I could add half the noodles at a time. The crunchy chicken was also a big hit! I loved my strawberry taro milk tea; my daughter said her matcha milk foam was “weird” but drank it. I wish we lived closer so we could try everything!
The young men who worked there were very friendly, fast, and attentive. Great service!
I ordered myself the Creamy Vegan Ramen, which had a delicious vegetable broth with broccoli, sesame menma, sweet corn, scallion, nori, kikurage mushroom, and snow peas. It was a delicious medley of flavors and nutrients that I felt good about! Even though I came in for the warmth, I still felt like I needed to try a tea. After all, it’s in the name. I landed on the Tropical Special, which was a passion fruit green tea with tapioca AND rainbow jelly. The rainbow jelly was good, but those tapioca balls stole the show with that perfect texture and soft, sweet flavor to accent the potent fruit flavor of the tea.
The last important thing to note is, in all honesty, the “vibe.” With warm lighting to bathe the room in a comfortable glow and lo-fi beats gently playing in the background, it really was a refreshing place to spend my lunch. I look forward to coming in again and enjoying a filling meal with that relaxed atmosphere.
