Having a meal with a water view. Amazing! Having worked as a manager with this company many years ago, it was a pleasure to enjoy the best catfish I’ve had, the fried dill pickles and like no other..skillet jalapeño cornbread . I missed the gator tail from years ago. Overall, the experience was enjoyable

My husband said it was the best Catfish he’s ever eaten! He used to travel a lot down south and ate catfish whenever he could. This hands down was the best. Everything was good! The cornbread in the cast iron skillet added to the meal.
We were touring the Medgar Evers home and asked the NPS employee where to have a great lunch. He told us to go there. He said he was from the area and his parents always took him there. Thank you NPS guy!
Well worth the drive and experience.

Just great food in a homie atmosphere
Limited menu but don’t let that stop you. Fish chicken burgers plus all the extras. We are traveling and really wish we were locals when we find restaurants like this.

The place is a great open space atmosphere. The food is served in vintage looking pie tin pans, which gives you a down home feel. The jalapeño cornbread was a hit. We were a group of 30 as we were gathering after a funeral. So without reservations we overwhelmed the one cook and two servers. But they managed to get us served, slowly but eventually. I recommend COCK OF THE WALK.

This used to be one of Jackson’s greatest catfish restaurants. Today, I ordered takeout…catfish fillet. The fish was fried too hard and left at the register too long. When I arrived to pick up, I had to wait 10 minutes before the lady at the register rang up the order. The food and service are horrible I’m sad to say.
