Paid $61 for take out order. We’ve eaten inside once before this. Chicken Burrito meal- the chicken burrito was literally just shredded chicken in a tortilla. Zero sauce or anything else. Just chicken in a tortilla. The steak and peppers meal- it was okay but nothing to write home about considering the lack of seasoning and flavor. The shrimp quesadilla was okay. Probably Best thing out of everything we had. That’s Not saying much though. We won’t go back and regretted wasting our one out to eat for the week on Mi Casa in Rogersville. The service was terrible as well. Rude and short with me from the phone call to order the food to me picking up and paying for the food. When we dined in the service was terrible as well and they took forever to come to our table. Thought we’d give it one more chance since there aren’t many options for Mexican food in Rogersville. But it was a miss. Done in and carry out.

Quite possibly the worst Mexican food I have ever had. We had a cheese enchilada, crispy chicken taco, soft steak taco, rice, beans. The chips had a weird aftertaste, the salsa was flavorless and smelled like a chemical. The rice tasted like boxed instant rice. I’ve had better beans out of a can. Chicken flavorless, dry and chewy. Hard corn shells were on brink of being stale I had to ask for limes and squeezed 4 wedges all over my food, it added a little bit of flavor and took away the dryness at least. Service was just so so. Hard pass on this one.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price or the Hype
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this visit was such a letdown that I feel others should be warned. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was uninviting and frankly, run-down. The place felt dingy and neglected, and unfortunately, the service didn’t make up for it.
We had to wait far too long for basic things—drink refills, to-go boxes, even just getting the check. For a meal that cost us over $50 (for steak tacos, a basic chicken/rice/cheese plate, and a couple of kids’ drinks), the quality was incredibly underwhelming. The food was bland, overpriced, and felt slapped together without care.
To make things worse, they tack on a 3% credit card fee—clearly designed to push customers to pay cash, which feels shady at best.
Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Between the poor service, unappetizing food, and questionable business practices, I won’t be returning—and I suggest others think twice before spending their money here.

Our favorite place to go for Mexican! The menu is extensive…8 pages! From shrimp dishes to nachos, steak and chicken…its incredible. We haven’t ever had one thing that wasn’t absolutely delicious!
They have a really good lunch menu too and excellent service.
The bathrooms need to be updated, I hope they can get around to doing that soon. But
we drive the extra miles to go there, its that good!

Huge menu with lots of choices but actually food wasn’t all that good. Runny and not well presented. Staff was mediocre and asking for Silverware after getting our plates seemed careless and uninterested. Getting refills and the check took an extremely long time.. Won’t be back wasn’t impressed at all.

We were seated right away and brought chips and salsa. The salsa was very tasty and kid friendly heat. Our waiter was awesome on the drink refills. Staff was also friendly. I ordered the chimichanga (chicken) and it was so good. The chicken wasn’t dry like some places but melt in your mouth moist. I also ordered the “banana burrito flan” for desert (although I didn’t need it!) that was also really good. There is limited booths So if you don’t want a table/chairs I would call before arriving. Our plates came out extremely hot, not warm but like right before you get blistered hot. No reason they need to come out that hot. We would go back!

Absolutely love Mi Casa. The food is always delicious and they have a large menu to choose from. Tried the Shrimp Mexican Pizza today. Its my new favorite. The service is always top tier.

This place is awesome. The food is always excellent, staff is very friendly and they even have a 48 oz beer that you have to try!!!

Awesome experience every time we go. The chicken chimichangas are always loaded with chicken. My son loves his beans &rice. Their sauteed mushrooms have the best flavor. Waiter is always tentative. We love the wall art inside of the restaurant!
My only recommendation/opinion for kids plates, is for their food that needs scooped to be put in a bowl. My son is 2 and had a difficult time scooping his rice off a plate. Also, give kids spoons with their plates- Especially the younger children.
All in all, great food and great prices! Their updated menu is included in my review. 🙂
