02/03/2026 I have mailed a response to the restaurant along with a response to the Porto Bella Team’s response plus pictures of the receipt found in my food.
***Management – please let me who and when to call this evening.*** Initially, I tried calling the restaurant twice to report what happened however I have not been able to speak with a manager. The server was scattered and disorganized and apologized because customers “kept freaking out on her”. We were empathetic. Well, when I opened my leftovers container the next day (she tied the bag up and knotted it), there was literal GARBAGE in my food – receipts and napkins. Absolutely disgusting. My first and last time going there. This was not a mistake, it was carelessness.

We did not like the food or pizza.
The eggplant rollatini was all breading, hardly any eggplant or ricotta. Excessive amount of cheese. I couldn’t eat it.
Pizza with onions and mushrooms looked like they threw the ingredients on top of the pizza. Not appealing at all. Taste was ok

So my beloved, Lora Papetsas and I are visiting our children down here in Boca Raton. My beloved is a Michelin Star trained chef who has mentored with Michel Guerard, Alain Senderens, Pierre Troisgros, Roger Verge, Anne Willan and Barbara Tropp and even had an Italian restaurant up in Cape Cod for 20 some years. Me on the other hand, my father who is part Sicilian worked in the best Italian restaurants in Manhattan, where there were no windows Capeesh.
Anyhow, I mentioned all this because we were having a little bit of a glitch by ordering through the GrubHub app and when I called and I spoke to the manager Marco. He made sure that the order would go through. Well, we ordered over $200 worth of food for our family I was truly impressed. Great food, awesome portions, and on top of it Marco treated us like family. Thank you and we will be coming to him again and again. Mille grazie!

Stopped for lunch and had our dog with us. We were seated outside a water bowl brought out for our dog. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The appetizer of calamari was huge and perfectly prepared. Our lunch portions were large enough that we couldn’t finish. The garlic rolls were hot fresh and really good. Price was very reasonable under 60 dollars for two including a 25% tip. Great value in today’s market!! Will definitely be my go to spot. Family owned and run businesses that has been there over 30 years. Must be doing something right!!!

Such amazing food! Additionally, my waitress and the work staff were so nice! The quantity and the taste for the price exceeded my expectations. I’m so glad I stumbled across this place as I definitely have to bring more people here!

Dinning in at Porto Bellas was a great experience. Our waitress was on top of everything and the food was amazing. For how busy it was our pizza came out quickly and the dinner was good. Unfortunately, some of the customers are very snobby. We sat next to a table who was talking very loudly, belittling the hostess who was sitting right in front of them. Thankfully a lovely waitress came over and told them off. Everyone is such great workers there, no reason to be disrespectful. Other than that our experience was great, thank you Porto Bellas for your service.

I’ve been going to this place for the last 10 years food is always good nice quiet place, usually good service, but I got to give it a 4 star because the AI Service when you call Sucks. Such a inconvenience to order take out and I’m a young customer, I could imagine how much business they lose on takeout orders just because older people don’t know how to navigate with the AI or would rather order a quick pizza on the phone elsewhere rather than get redirected to a link. I Paid 25.10! For a large pepperoni bc I ordered via AI and I had 4$ in fees and service charges, on the website it says a large pizza is a 17.50 plus toppings another 2$. Why am I paying an extra 5$ to order it through a 3rd party website? I love Porto Bellas good food, good vibe, good staff, but I’m telling you, That AI Service is doing more bad than good for you guys.

I tend to make my own food. I’m a good cook but if I want to treat myself out, it’s an Italian restaurant. In Florida it’s a challenge as I haven’t been able to find anything good, until now. I was recommended to try Porto Bella by an elderly stranger I spoke to in the supoermarket. She wasn’t kidding. Being from NY, I was used to good Italian food & thought it doesn’t exist here. The pasta, cheese, sauces. Each of the ingredients were top notch. It was perfectly cooked. I had eggplant rolatini and cannot rave enough. I had to travel farther than I’d want but next time I’ll look forward to the long trip from my place just to eat there. Incredible food and wonderful staff. As good or better than anything I’ve had in the best Italian restaurants in NY/NJ area.

Authentic Italian recipes that are delicious! Owner Vic brought his fantastic family recipes to Boynton Beach. Manager Karen is fabulous in working every aspect of service. She’s a delight to talk with. She makes you feel right at home. We’ve been coming to Porta Bella for 20+ years and every meal is scrumptious and reasonably priced. The proportions are more than generous. They take great pride in putting together the daily specials menu – from subs to Snapper Piccata and so much more. Eating at Porta Bella is a delight.

We went here 5 times now. The first two times were great, we ordered pizzas and they were fantastic. The remaining three times were just terrible. With one order, the pizzas were super salty and in once instance overdone. In another order the dinners were just meh and in the last order we did two subs for take out. It got here and man was it disgusting. The cheesesteak was overcooked and extremely dry, with an insane amount of cheese smothered on (I’m talking under the steak AND over the steak). The second sub was supposed to the grilled chicken tomato fresh mozzarella. They sent basically a caprese salad. With minced raw garlic on top. Both items just were not edible, thankfully we were able to get a refund thru the delivery service we used. Will not be going back here again, I know they’ve been here 30+ years but consistency is something they need to work on.
