We had a nice girls night out and the staff was very kind & helpful. We were the last table to leave & they didn’t rush us out. Very broad menu, plenty to choose from! Our food was excellent. The photo I’m sharing is the coconut shrimp tacos. They were wonderful!

I don’t leave reviews often, and when I do, it’s because of a spot I loved that I think deserves its flowers. That was NOT my experience at this spot. I came in with two other friends. We sat at the bar. We each got a margarita, they weren’t bad but absolutely wasn’t worth $18 each. We all ordered a taco dinner, rice and beans. The rice tastes like instant rice, and the refried beans were just bad and bland. I got the coconut shrimp tacos, and they looked beautiful when they came out; they were so cold, I just knew they had to have been frozen. My dinner alone was $21. I ate one taco and ultimately tossed the rest at home because I took it to go. The atmosphere honestly gives “cheap furniture that we want to look expensive.” I feel like if this spot focused more on the quality of food and less on the aesthetic, it would be better.

I was excited about this place for a long time. Absolutely stunning inside, friendly and helpful staff. Street corn dip is a must. Birria and cubana torta were great with the torta having the most buttery, freshest avocado I’ve had in a long time. My only MINOR complaint is the Bolillo was a little tough like it was double grilled or reheated. We’ll be returning forsure.

I have been to El Taco Macjo twice and it has exceeded my expectations both times! The service is perfect! The servers are friendly and professional. They know how to make you feel welcome without being over the top. The fajitas I had tonight were probably the best I have ever had anywhere. Very flavorful and seasoned perfectly. This place is truly excellent!

Inside is cute but that’s the only positive thing I have to say about this place. First, it took someone 10 minutes to even come get our drink order. Then we ordered queso as an appetizer and it was forgotten about. My daughter ordered fries and substitute of rice and beans and they gave her rice and beans anyway and then when I brought this to their attention, they told me it would be an up charge for fries. We got a picture of margarita. All of our margaritas are about $45 and up Except for two. We opted for the $30 margarita picture and it tasted straight like juice. My husband and I have never drank a picture of margarita between the both of us and haven’t at least been a little tipsy, but we walked out of there, not feeling a single thing.
Then to top it off I got the Birria tacos. THE WORST BIRRIA TACOS IN ALL OF CLEVELAND. We have tried Birria tacos at so many different Hispanic spots This was by far the absolute worst burrito tacos I have ever had in all of the world. It came with rice and the rice was so bland. It tasted like instant rice I could’ve made better at home ! I could’ve made better Birria tacos at home.
I told them I wanted it taken off the bill because I did not eat it after a few bites . They agreed to take it off the bill as well as my daughter’s food because those fries that they charge for never came. Then gave me my bill of $76 and some change, Just to turn around and run my car for $104 on “accident “ . I had a horrible day at work today. I was just trying to go out to dinner with my family and This was by far the worst experience at any restaurant I have ever had and I would not recommend coming to this shady establishment. There was only my family and two other tables absolutely no explanation for this lack of customer service. Then the waitress kept rolling her eyes at me just steer clear away from this place!!!!!!

I’ve tried the food at this restaurant and it’s definitely the best in the area. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the food is excellent, and I would definitely go back. I highly recommend it. The tacos are very good, the margaritas are fresh and made with good tequila. I wish them much success.

The food was delicious and authentic, full of flavor in every dish. The service was excellent, our waiter Camilo was very attentive, kind, and made the experience even better. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

2nd visit and had to drop the score. I realize this place is more expensive than most Mexican restaurants. Soda drinks are $4.50, thats ridiculous. Food pricess seem elevated as well, many individual dishes are close to $20, or more. Very nice quality Mexican restaurant. I admit the name had me thinking it would be some low end taco joint…. I was wrong. Quite nice restaurant with very comfortable seating. Lots of choices, not just tacos. Fresh and hot food. Prices ate not in line with other area Mexican restaurants, higher prices here.
