We read the reviews so we thought it would be a great place when we got to the building. We instantly realize that it was in a building with a bunch of other stores that were Closed down once we went inside we had to use the bathroom immediately we noticed that the Places old, but there were a lot of places that are old and have a good food so we continue to go when we were seated. Everything seemed to be fine. We did notice that the price was jacked up so high on the food also places if you order The protein you get the rice it comes with the dinner in this case you have to pay five dollars extra for the rice. The chef came out and I can tell you he was the best part of the whole thing. They did have a great chef, but the food quality the taste of the food was disgusting. Yum Yum sauce was runny. The vegetables had a taste. Maybe they were burnt to chicken was over sauce Nothing about this place was a great and if I had to rate it, I would give it one star maybe two stars for the tricks that the chef did but the overall food quality Was gross

My family and I have been coming here for almost 15 years. The food is delicious and the staff are wonderful. This is always our go to spot when we want to celebrate something or if we just want some tastey sit down food.

I really hate to do this, but this was the first time in all my life I could not leave a tip. To start, we walked in and I said hi, how are you? And the waitress said, “well I’m working- I’m alive” “I had a baby two weeks ago and can’t stand being at home so I’m here instead.” Immediately thrown off. Then we were walked to the griddle area where most like to sit to watch the experience at hand- although, we were on date night so I had to ask for a table which they only had 2 in the restaurant. We were sat under a huge fan next to a utility sink. I thought okay, freezing but maybe my fiance will nestle in. We ordered the filet mingon sushi roll with shrimp tempura- bad start, no flavor whatsoever. Then when we got our salads the waitress (not upset at her or holding a grudge) spilled ginger sauce all over my purse etc. I was starting to get anxiety. I order the lobster and steak and it comes out cold to touch. I felt so bad to tell our waitress about it but I decided if I’m paying all this money I better. It’s even asked her to feel it. I felt so bad at this point. But here we are, she says maybe we can comp it, and I suggest brining me out a side of “hot” shrimp. So they get that cooking. Mind you my food is ice cold, I’m freezing under this giant fan and everything seems run down. Another waitress/possibly manager role comes over and asks how is everything? But it did not feel genuine. I stated that the food was very cold and she argued the situation with me to the point I put my head down and stopped responding (I’m pretty dang assertive too). I couldn’t believe she was arguing with a guest spending money and I was very calm & respectful about it. The lobster was cut up into little pieces so cold- and the meat was like it was taken out of the fridge. I couldn’t believe it. I will absolutely never return unfortunately. We were never checked on after that. There’s no liveliness there anymore and way overpriced for cold, cut up food. We paid over $80. No “sorry” was given.

A really nice atmosphere for a hibachi style dining experience! They give you some sake if you wanted, but did not do the onion trains sadly. Haha staff seemed very friendly, went there for a birthday and they took a picture of us and gave the picture in a frame, which was kind of nice. Parking was a little crazy, they share the lot with a lot of other businesses

My 3.5 year old daughter loved the fire. I personally am not a huge sushi fan but loved the jenpachi roll. Cooked shrimp so all good for those who like cooked proteins.

The food is tasty, and the portions are big, but I feel like things have changed in recent months for Jenpachi. The last time I ate here we had a few issues.

1) I was told the wait would be 20 minutes, and the wait was closer to 45
2) Since when do they not add egg to their fried rice?
3) Our chef didn’t put on a show for us, that’s not a huge thing but a big reason for going to a habachi grill is for the show

What a great experience! This is the 2nd time coming here, and as the first time it was amazing. Staff is nice and genuine, cook was a thrill, and the atmosphere was light but still upbeat.

Food and Service Latino people were awesome even though their English not that great. The White English people seem to have technology problems. Everything was great until their taking payment problems. This has never happen to me since I lived in Rochester, MN. I would give a 4 stars if it was not for that. Everyone seem not awake yet.

The sever was nice and helpful, food was outright terrible. Ordered Hibachi from kitchen. The fried rice was soggy and overcooked and not fried at all. The “filet mignon” was inedible, so tough and chewy. The veggies were practically uncooked. The entire entree was cold from the get go.

The service was great and so was the food. The interior could use a bit of a refreshing. It’s showing it’s age a bit but nothing unbearable. I’d go back for sure.
