I’ve been to Vietnam a couple of times and this place transports me straight back. Very authentic Vietnamese food. We started with the salt&pepper squid and spring rolls. My friend had some Bun Bo and said it was rich and flavourful. I took the waitress’s recommendation and ordered the Bun Cha Ha Noi, and I’m glad I listened. The portion was big and the patties had a lovely chargrilled taste to them. Would 100% recommend. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. The décor was also very charming, it gave the restaurant a lovely homey feel. Viet Baguette has become one of my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in London. I will be coming back other dishes. Regularly.

Salt and pepper chicken wings: not so recommended. The chicken wings are dry and taste like MSG.

Salt and pepper squid: tastes good. The squids taste a bit like it was frozen instead fresh ones.

Pork rice: before we ordered, I thought it was pork chop, but it came out as sliced pork. It tasted alright, not bad not good.

See fried spring roll: the best of all. Recommend. It has minced pork, glass noddles and some veggies.

The dessert cup we order wasn’t very sweet, not even the Asian standard. ‍♀️

Good thing is there is not any service charge.

One of the best banh mi in the city, however service can definitely be improved, therefore losing the star.

Ordered a JD+coke, and was asked to order them both separately even though the menu clearly states only a £1.50 extra for a mixer. Bit of a bummer.

Nice Vietnamese restaurant in Woolwich with common Vietnamese offerings.

The food was good but nothing extra special. The summer rolls didn’t seem too fresh and the banh mi had nice fillings which tasted great but it seemed a little dry. Once I dipped it in the leftover fish sauce from my partner’s bun cha dish, the banh mi tasted a lot better!

Overall, it’s good but I wouldn’t be rushing back in a hurry.

Such a great find. Nice restaurant serving up brilliant dishes of Vietnamese food. The pork spring rolls are as good as they get, whilst my pork baguette might be the best baguette I’ve ever eaten. That’s how it’s done France…the meat broth was grand too. Strange ordering system where you pick up a menu and then write the numbered dish on a ticket before handing it to the waitress at the till. Pay before eating. There is a nice looking garden out the back. One of the very best places to eat in Woolwich.

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in London, we’ve been. You can get most of the typical Vietnamese food here. You write down what you would like to order on a note
Pad at the table and take it to the tail to pay for your food. You get 10% discount. If you pay by cash the environment is nice and I have a small garden area toilets are located downstairs. The staff are helpful and friendly. You can help yourself with tap water at the table. The starter are quite big so if you’re not too hungry you can order as a main course. Nearby street parking is about £2.50 an hour. We had a enjoyable afternoon here.

The pho and banh mi was great and priced well for the portion size. Lovely welcoming staff, saw them bring a heater out for an old couple when we were there and they explained what everything was. Also got a discount for paying in cash.

Another visit update – great service as always. Food was tasty too.

We ordered via the new system, writing down our order using a pen and small pad on the table then taking this up to the till for payment.
Staff were very nice and friendly.
Food tasted good but seems much pricier than before.
We had a great time.

This is not a bad review for the food, the food is great, it is for the service only. Went there to get a bah mi for lunch and had my dog with me, so I waited outside respecting the fact that dog is not allowed in the restaurant. Was initially told it will be 10 mins, then another 10 mins, then another 10 mins, 30 mins wait for a sandwich and I had to stand outside in the cold. What’s worse is I had to check in to get an update like an unappreciated customer, and they didn’t have the courtesy to let me know that it will be taking longer so at least I could have done my other errands while waiting, not even offering a seat, and not even an apology. I am all for supporting local restaurants, but the lack of hospitality makes me unlikely to return here.

Fantastic Vietnamese restaurant tucked away on an unassuming side street in Woolwich. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

One of the standout dishes for me was the vegetarian pancake. It had a wonderfully crispy exterior and was filled with a delicious combination of bean sprouts and vegetables. The flavors were fresh and vibrant, making it a truly enjoyable dish. I also tried the sweet chilli tofu baguette, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were well-balanced, with the sweetness of the chilli complementing the tender tofu perfectly. The baguette itself was fresh and served as an excellent vehicle for the flavors to shine.

To accompany my meal, I decided to try Vietnamese coffee for the first time, and I must say, it was fantastic. The combination of strong coffee and sweet condensed milk created a delightful and indulgent flavor that I found myself thoroughly enjoying.

One unique aspect of Viet Baguette is the self-service system. Each table is equipped with a notepad, allowing you to write down your order and communicate with the staff. This added a sense of convenience and efficiency to the dining experience.
