We order from Hong luck quite a bit. But this time we received a sharpie market cap in the garlic shrimp. I called to let them know and to see what they would say. At this point I didn’t really care too much. But they responded with “ oh it’s no big deal “. Nice reaction.

Pretty good food. The wonton soup was my FAVORITE. The atmosphere inside was so nice and enjoyable. Definitely excited to come back and try some other dishes.

I am sharing my personal experience regarding a disturbing and discriminatory incident that occurred on Sunday, August 31st at Hong Luck Restaurant, located at Route 2221 VETERANS HWY in Levittown, PA.
My family and I spent over $100 at this establishment. After returning home, we realized that our order was incorrect. I encouraged my daughter to return to the restaurant to politely inform the owner of the mistake. Rather than providing an apology or offering customer service, the owner chose to call the Middletown Police Department. Shockingly, the owner falsely reported that five Black individuals were armed and threatening them.
Shortly thereafter, approximately six Middletown police cars arrived at the scene. One officer, a white female who was heavyset, aggressively yelled at my son, ordering him out of the vehicle. This response was not only unwarranted, but it also placed my son’s life in danger. I am grateful that the situation did not escalate further and that my son’s life was spared.
This experience has left my family shaken and deeply concerned about the ongoing discrimination and racial profiling in our community. No family should have to fear for their safety simply because of the color of their skin.
I respectfully request that this matter be thoroughly investigated. I also urge both the restaurant and the Middletown Police Department to address issues of racial bias and to commit to fair, respectful treatment of all community members.

With my Criminal Justice degree and a certificate in Victim Advocacy, I am prepared to rise to the challenge and do whatever it takes to play a role in dismantling systemic racism

Was in search of an old school Chinese restaurant and I found it! The drinks were delicious! The wonton soup was awesome, a dark broth loaded with scallions and pork strips. The wontons were delectable. The chicken in foil brought back the memories of days gone by. These are so hard to find nowadays, and so worth the trip. Dumplings were good. This place has not lost the meaning of value. The combo platters come with soup, egg roll, meal, rice and dessert! Everything was old school authentic and tasty. Service was able to keep up even though they were busy. Super friendly and helpful. Inside was old school, the Chinese zodiac placemats, the tiki booths, and pufferfish lights! A wonderful experience.

Food was terrible , customer was terrible. The owner told me and my partner that we had to eat outside! Since we ordered take out , she said we couldn’t sit at their table.

Forgive me if a nostalgic review is unwelcome, but I grew up eating this place’s amazing food every single time I had Chinese at home, which spoiled me now that I live out of state. The family running the place was always so kind to me and my mom, even knew my mom’s order sometimes if we were visiting more than usual.

My 12th birthday I begged my mom to have their takeout for dinner and watch TV while eating at home, because we only ever ate in restaurant and I always wanted to be a ‘normal American family’ lol. The takeout at the time included complimentary oodon tea bags, fried wontons bags, every sauce they seemingly could think of, they had no idea it was my birthday but it was so above and beyond for takeout, even at the time.

I miss this restaurant equally as much as the Thai place in Penndel closer to the train tracks, and I recommend it to anyone I meet who’s visiting from my hometown.

Update 8/3/22: Still fantastic! Service is still on point and the food is still delicious. Can’t stress the “don’t judge a book by its cover”. New pics attached. Keep it up guys!
Don’t judge a book by it’s cover! The food and service were terrific! They just have this odd Chinese/ tiki bar thing going on and the place is outdated but who cares you’re there to eat. They make sure your glass is never empty and that the fried noodles are always full. I got the sesame chicken combo that came with an egg drop soup that was really good. The food came out fast and tasted super fresh. The fried rice didn’t need anything, it was very flavorful and tasty. The chicken was crispy with actual chicken in it not gristle like so many other places. Boneless spare ribs were also delicious. My wife took me and our boys here and everything was good. If your looking for a new, good and well priced quality Chinese spot Don’t hesitate to stop here.

Unless there was another tiki-themed Chinese restaurant in this area the 80s, I’m like 90% sure I used to come here with my mom as a kid, over 35 years ago. Regardless, the food, service, and atmosphere were all top notch. There is something incredibly nostalgic about this place for me, and it was awesome to finally come back and experience it again.

We love hong luck. The zombie is my go to. I usually get a combination platter because of the value. Soup, egg roll, rice, main and ice cream for a great price. I like sitting on the side with the bar because the music is nice and it’s more of an up beat area. Local favorite
