Bajio is famous for its shrimp tacos. My wife got the pineapple shrimp tacos and said they were 5/5. What stood out today was how clean the restaurant crew is here.

Edit – adding one more star to my review today because the staff was a tiny bit more friendly when I visited again recently. Highly recommend the mexican pizza. It is fabulous!
Their mexican pizza with sweet pork and sweet white rice is amazing- as is their tomatillo ranch dressing! It is always my go to! The crisp tortillas make the perfect crunch!
Wish they would give more cheese on top. Each year they seem to give less and less quantity of toppings such as cheese and meat. Even if you ask for just one extra scoop of green sauce they want to charge extra for it. What about all the customers not wanting sauce- do they get charged less – nope—of course they don’t!
We dined in for lunch. We feel that the staff needs to learn how to lighten up and actually smile! Even if they have to just fake that they’re happy and actually enjoying their job. Every customer deserves a smile and to feel valued and welcomed. We did not feel welcome! We felt that we were an inconvenience to them.

Absolutely delicious. I just needed some quick food for lunch and found this place. The food was really good. Staff was super friendly and they got the food to me so quickly. I’m very happy with my experience here.
edit to review. I have really liked going to this place for some time, but my experience yesterday really turned me away from the place. I went in though the drive though, normally it takes only a few minutes, this time I spent close to 25-30 minutes there. when I ordered the person seemed really snappy, though that may have just been my perception of it. finally when i got my food, absolutely everything was wrong with it, i got lime chicken with Spanish rice and balsamic vinaigrette, the only thing they got right in it was the chicken which was insanely dry compared to previous times.
I was on my work lunch and by the time i noticed they gave me everything wrong I had no time to go back and correct it. for the time waiting, the food gotten and the snappy server, i felt really disappointed in a place I have really loved so far. IDK if they have recently hired a lot of new people recently, but i think there needs to be some additional training or at least a double check the order.

Great value getting the daily special, today was taquitos. Comes with three crispy tasty taquitos and choice of rice and beans and a drink. Very attentive service at the line and clean eating area. All in all a great lunch dining experience!

I have I have literally coming it Bajio for the last 20 years. I remember when they were over in the bagel den area of river woods and when they used to have locations all over.
It is my favorite Mexican restaurant on earth. Their sweet rice is to die for. The burritos are exquisite, and you definitely have to give their shrimp tacos a try. At Bajio, everyone knows your name. Although Francisco and Raymond don’t work there anymore (they are missed), it is the best food ever. Would absolutely recommend.

First time ordering here for our family. $131 order. Consensus from family is that Costa Vida is better followed by Cafe Rio, then Bajio. I was excited to try the chimichanga, but it must not have been deep fried because it was soggy. Not much meat either in the chimichanga. Plenty of meat in the burrito.

Bajio is a good place for good food. It may not be the very best Mexican food you’ve ever had, but it’s filling, tasty, and satisfying. Quick, friendly service is the norm. There isn’t anything wrong here and a four star eating is good from me.

Excellent Chicken Green Chile! I haven’t been here since the one in Layton closed. THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB! Sweet Rice, Anything with the Green Chile and the beans are awesome! I definitely will always come here when in area. I hope the locals know what a treasure they have! Great and Friendly service as well today!

Okay here’s my issue with Bajio- the tortillas are almost inedible. Paper thin, strange stiff texture, and they are almost always raw and not cooked thoroughly enough. My husband and I ask for extra crispy tortilla every time just to try and get a normal cooked through tortilla and even then it hardly gets there. You can’t eat a quesadilla with a tortilla that is nearly translucent because it isn’t cooked well enough! And almost every menu item contains a tortilla! We have had this issue over and over again. If Bajio would get better tortillas they would definitely have more stars from me because I do enjoy a lot of other elements from them, their beans, rice, dressing, etc….but the tortillas are mega weak and they have no idea how long to cook them for! Please Bajio, up your tortilla game it will make your food a lot better !!! ❤️
