I absolutely love coming to ZZ Sushi Kitchen whenever I get the chance. It might be apples to oranges, as this is really the only sushi restaurant in Pennsville, but for me it is easily in the top 5 of best restaurants in Pennsville township and maybe even Salem County. BYOB and with the liquor store next door you can get some of your favorite drinks and enjoy some really good food.
I almost always get their sushi roll special because you get such a great value out of the $14.95. There’s almost 30 rolls to choose from on the special so there’s plenty to choose from. I really enjoy their spicy rolls, chicken tempura roll and even their sweet potato one is delicious. If I have room I love to get their desserts like the tempura ice creams or the fried Oreos. Everything tastes fresh, the restaurant is very clean and while the service could benefit from being a bit kinder it still doesn’t take away from the overall experience in my opinion.

I always go here for lunch and it’s one of my all-time favorites and so grateful that it’s under half an hour away. Their rolls are always very tasty and I’m a huge fan. I usually get the lunch special with three rolls, the salad with ginger dressing and a side of fried rice. And I know some might think I’m crazy but I always make sure to save half so I can have it for breakfast in the morning, I just love sushi for breakfast! A BIG RECOMMEND!

My husband and I loved everything we ordered from here. Food was great and fresh! They had a few rolls I haven’t heard of before. I like different ! One of the things that really stood them out from the rest is the service. The customer service was amazing to say the least ! Highly recommended ! You will not be disappointed !!!

Mouth watering. Great quality of food. The chili roll was literally the best roll I’ve ever eaten. Atmosphere is great. Place is clean. This is so needed in this town. And I absolutely love the addition. And I don’t have to drive to Delaware for good sushi anymore.
And I was there on the second day of opening and while you can still tell they’re figuring things out they were friendly and the food came out reasonably quick.
10/10 a lot of my money is going to be going to this place.

This was my first experience here and it went pretty well. The staff were nice and the place was clean and new looking. Food tasted good and was sent out in a timely manner.
Only critique is that the price is a little high. I came for lunch and only got 4 pieces of steak when I ordered steak as chicken.
Besides the price a little high everything else was good.

I ordered the “Shrimp Fried Rice” and much to both my surprise and chagrin I got a “unique meal”. For people who know me, I’m not an “experimenter”. I like freshly cooked food plain. This was a much needed surprise as the shrimp were perfectly cooked and I mean perfect – if you love to cook you’ll understand what I’m saying. The rice was basically fried rice minus peas and carrots with a thick brown sauce on it which was pretty good. Two critiques:1) explain that this isn’t traditional fried rice because I would have said “make it that way! lol”; and easy on the sauce. Overall I would give them a 20 if I could because it was served at its “peak” and I enjoy freshly cooked food done perfectly!!! Thank u! Go there!!

The woman who took my order is not at all professional. They shouldn’t work there if they don’t like serving people. She had an angry face and a bad attitude. However, there’s a man who takes orders and he is very friendly. We want more people like him working there.

Omg! The food here is amazing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and this fabulos place is a BYOB. The customer service is wonderful and Jane is our favorite hostess and server. We’re so glad that there’s finally a Sushi spot in Pennsville.

First time trying it, everything was great! I called in for a take out order. Ordered the pink lady roll, avocado salad, vegetable tempura appetizer it was all very good, and nicely presented.
