I ordered the Fried Chicken Breakfast Sandwich on a biscuit and a side of crispy home-fried potatoes. I ordered Hollandaise sauce on the side for my potatoes. It was a great addition. My drink was the Liberty Iced Latte with added cinnamon. Everything was delicious, fresh and served quickly. Great atmosphere with plenty of outside seating. Great breakfast spot. Will definitely visit again.

We go to beatniks probably too frequently. We have a Few menu favorites that we cycle through that are all delicious. 1) The bongo Benedict is always really consistent and the eggs are cooked perfectly. 2) The avocado toast is super yummy and relatively filling! It’s not the largest menu item, but it’ll definitely fill you sufficiently. Definitely in my top 3 avocado toasts in town. 3) the breakfast club: 10/10 it’s hefty so it might be 2 meals for a lot of people but it’s delicious. The sauces are what sets it apart from other breakfast sandwiches.

Just not very well seasoned or stand out food. Feels very minimalist, kinda get your food and go. Meh food but nice comfortable spread out space.

You order at the front counter and they bring the food to you, there’s a coffee and water bar in the middle however it’s a massive restaurant so it doesn’t really make sense. I imagine when it’s packed it’s quite chaotic but when we were there it was pretty empty. The restaurant is relatively secluded, it’s in a shopping center with a Williams Sonoma paint store in a pretty quiet part of town somewhat close to the highway but no loud car noises.

The food was nothing to rave over but also nothing disappointing, if someone said they wanted to go I would humor them and tag along but I wouldn’t seek it out. The coffee was pretty meh too.

One of the best places in town for delicious breakfast. Huevos rancheros is my favorite. The delicious ingredients and the way it’s cooked is better than any other place in town. The coffee is wonderful especially the house coffee. People are nice and the people who eat there are nice…all around great experience.

Incredible food, range of healthy and delicious options, very kind staff, casual comforting atmosphere, lots of indoor and outdoor seating. I personally liked the green juice and veggie omelet and the french toast was gorgeous, my mom liked the latte!

Wanted to try breakfast here based off of their reviews. First impression walking into the door is a very nice. Pleasant atmosphere specially, at 7:15 in the morning. Coffee is decent. Not great. Was unpleasantly surprised with the prices based off looking at their menu online was completely false advertisement. Burrito online said it was $8.50 got to the counter and ordered cup of coffee with their breakfast. Burrito and cashier gives me the price of $17 and change. If you’re going to pay that much, they better be the best burrito in town. OK first bite into burrito was decent second by hit a cold spot. No crunch to the bacon or any similar textures. Burrito has good flavor but everything is just a bunch of mush. Tortilla shell not toasted before constructing burrito. Entire left side was cold. All the way through the burrito were most of the sautéed items and potatoes and bacon rolled on. Salsa very eye pleasing but disappointing taste. No rich flavors other than just roasted tomatoes. For a place that tries to be very upscale and charges an arm and a leg. Their menu just does not live up to expectations. Would not recommend eating here at least for the breakfast burrito go somewhere else. You can get a cheaper burrito down the road for better quality they actually take pride in rolling their burritos unlike this place it just felt like they did not care at all. I gave this one a super poor rating, because there is literally no effort in their burrito.

Food was not great. Place was unpleasant. Smelled like decay and coffee. Prices were ridiculous for eggs that came out uncooked. Shame, I heard good things. I guess it has gone downhill.

We had to go inside and ask for our table to be wiped clean and the woman who came out and wiped the table off seemed annoyed and did a half-assed job. I still said “thank you” and received no response.

The salad my friend ordered was not consistent with the description on the menu. It was supposed to be mixed greens but was a handful of large spinach leaves with all the stems attached. There was very little chicken on the salad and the candied walnuts were nowhere to be found.

I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was okay, but the biscuit was dry and overcooked. Overall, what sounded like a very interesting and tasty sandwich on the menu turned out to be just meh.

It has been a few years since I have eaten at Beatnicks and this experience, compared to the last time I was there, was very disappointing. Definitely not worth the money.

I like my oats simple. I’m not one for fancy things, but I am particular about oats. I called in advance to see if they sold steel cut oats. They stated they do. When I ordered, they asked if I wanted an accoutrement of berries, nuts and yogurt. I like my oats plain. Oats cooked correctly do not require additional ingredients. When they rung up this bowl of oats, it was shy of 7 dollars. Let me repeat that. Seven. Dollars. I inquired about the price, given that I did not want the other ingredients. They would not adjust the price. To add insult to injury, I got rolled oats. Here’s some perspective: 2lbs of top shelf organic rolled oats costs 4.99. I got 6oz of mushy, over cooked, probably Quaker oats. If you’re looking to get your feelings and ego massaged by a pretentious, over priced, snowflake harboring cafe, this place is for you. If you want a simple, quality breakfast, go elsewhere.

Delicious food. Great Atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the “natural ” Benedict and it was superb!! The coffee was delicious and robust and just what I needed. They had 4 other choices of Benedict’s to choose from and I plan on trying all of them. As I was leaving a very nice lady behind the counter engaged with me and asked about my meal and made small talk and joked a bit it. It was Exsactly how i like to end a meal. I highly recommend this place for families
or couples or if your solo that works too. If your in chico stop in.
