We just had a fantastic lunch at Rice Boxx and honestly — everything was perfect from start to finish!
We ordered:
• Hibachi noodles with steak
• Volcano roll
• Tuna spice roll
• Tropical roll
• Cashew chicken
• Pad Thai
Every single dish was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The vegetables in the cashew chicken were perfectly sautéed — crisp, not overcooked, and lightly seasoned to let the natural flavors shine through. Not too spicy, just balanced and delicious.
The sushi rolls were outstanding — each one had its own distinct character and flavor. Bright, flavorful, and beautifully presented — not just thrown together like in some places.
Service was quick and genuinely kind — everyone we spoke to was polite and welcoming.
The atmosphere felt authentic and calming, with soft music and a cozy little fish tank adding to the relaxed vibe. Honestly, it felt like we were having dinner at a friend’s house — warm, casual, and comforting.

I honestly dont know why I havnt reviewed this place yet. This is my go to sushi place in chattanooga. I also order from them all of the time on doordash, although through doordash the prices are significantly higher than just going to the restaurant. The upside to ordering on doordash is the little snacks they add into your order, my favorites are the little dinosaur chips!
My go to rolls are the mango dragon roll, ruby falls roll, godzilla roll and shrimp and mango roll. I also fancy their wonton soup when im sick, I’ll just order a few orders of it when im not feeling well and its the only thing I can eat that doesn’t upset my stomach.
I also appreciate them being right across the street from the Asian market. We usually eat there and then go to the market after.

I’m so DEVASTATED! They changed their recipe on their seafood ceviche and it’s DISGUSTING!!!!!! It taste like fish they caught in a dirty river, mixed with some gross store bought yuzu sauce. It’s thick and looks like snot with a horrid fake yuzu flavor. Has no spice at all anymore either. Price has increased and quality decreased DRASTICALLY!!! I’m so sad . Bring back the old recipe. The new recipe is trash. I would eat their ceviche as a cold remedy. Now I wouldn’t eat this if I were starving. I don’t know how you went from best thing I’ve ever eaten to .

Was really excited to try this place after seeing some pictures online. The experience didn’t quite meet expectations but it wasn’t bad.
Portion size is really off in my opinion. The container was 3/4 rice and 1/4 tofu. I don’t eat much rice so I was left pretty hungry afterward. I posted a picture for scale.
The quality of the tofu was ok. Just wasn’t very crispy. Ate some fresh and some after getting home. texture was the same both times.
The dumplings were pretty good. The spring rolls were pretty solid as well.
Sweet potato roll was fine.
Overall everything was fine, I just don’t see myself going back.

After my recent order with Rice Boxx, I decided I had to post a review. I had a 1 star meal from them, last week which makes me lower their food overall to 2 stars. I love their service and the atmosphere is more than solid.
So here goes…Mapo Tofu does NOT have peas and carrots in it. Full stop. Mapo Tofu is a classic Szechuan meal which is supposed to focus on Mala (numbing and spicy). In this case, there was not a hint of numbing or spice. In fact, when I asked for my dish to be made “extra spicy”, they added a plastic container of Sambal Oelek to go with my stew…I mean “Mapo Tofu.” This dish was missing every conceivable flavor that Mapo Tofu should have. It was brightly tangy and lacked any sense of rich, deep flavor.
That Mapo Tofu order is right on the edge of making me never go back to Rice Boxx. I have enjoyed plenty of their food, but Mapo Tofu is one of my all time favorite dishes and Rice Boxx just embarrassed themselves. I’m very disappointed and frustrated with them.

Everything was great here. The sushi was fantastic. The egg drop soup was good and the spicy Thai(?) soup had a great flavor. I had a sip of one of my kid’s bowl and couldn’t feel my lips, but she loved it.

Just spent almost $19+fees+$5 tip to my driver on a single Godzilla roll (only 6 pieces) for delivery and it was the worst roll that I’ve ever eaten. I couldn’t taste any seafood..it was all mushy rice with sauce on top. Just WOW

I love their food every time I order. Decided to try something new , the Pad Thai . It claims it’s spicy but it wasn’t spicy instead I received more sweet than anything. I called them to see if it was a mistake , I promise I’m not picky nor do I ever call places . But I am not a sweet food person so unfortunately I had to throw it away so I wasted my money . I would’ve wished they refunded me or something . So be aware of the pad Thai it’s sweeter than you think
