This is the second time in just a few months that I’ve had a poor experience here, both related to food quality. The first visit was already disappointing. There were no sides available, the turkey leg was old and dry, and the service was unacceptable.
It’s frustrating to see a once solid, Black owned restaurant decline due to what appears to be poor decision making and cost cutting. Serving visibly old, dried, and burnt food, then covering it in sauce and charging the full $20 price, is unacceptable. The green beans were mushy, clearly overcooked, and overly spicy, and there was no tea or lemonade available.
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars supporting this business over the years, both because I wanted to support them and because the food used to be genuinely good. We even ordered nearly 20 turkey legs from them for Thanksgiving at one point. Unfortunately, it’s clear that standards have changed significantly.
I won’t be spending another dollar here, whether it’s a food truck or a brick and mortar location, and I can’t recommend that others do either. When an owner is willing to serve food of this quality, it speaks volumes about where the business is headed. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if 2026 is their final year at this location.

Not happy…won’t be back. So apparently when you get a “stuffed” leg, the majority of the turkey on one side is removed and a pile of rice is dumped on top. Awful! For 33.00 I need the whole turkey leg and the rice. I dug through the rice and hit nothing but bone. Seems my leg was used to supply the meat for the side items! Crazy work to say the least. And there wasn’t any crawfish in the rice as advertised. About 7 shrimp. Definitely not giving “seafood” anything…soooo disappointed. I’ve eaten at the Turkey Leg Hut in Texas previously and I was hoping for a comparable fix. Absolutely not. The flavor was good, the miniscule amount of turkey I did have was a little dry, but wasn’t horrible. I am just in disbelief as to how my turkey leg was cleaned and the meat wasn’t in the bottom of my container for me to enjoy since I paid for it. Won’t be back…it’s giving scammer vibes. And they are not friendly at all. Do better.

I took some time and searched through social media, found this spot in one of the comments, got in the car and arrived around 7:30pm (They close at 8pm) – The team was slowly finishing up for the day but we were still being serviced without issues. Driving home the smell of the food got us already excited but once we opened the boxes (secure and dry bag!) there was literally no disappointment. Very flavorful, the turkey meat is falling off the bone, the sweet potato grits (something I never had before and sure will remember for the rest of my life), the green beans and baked beans, even the rice was yummy, it all was really tasty! I am glad we found it and this certainly won’t be the only visit. What you see on the pics: Two wings with sides and drinks; cost us 58$

Staff is very friendly, Smoked Turkey legs are huge and could feed two people. I had Jamin Jerk, (spicy) and hubby had garlic parm. Sides.sweet potatoes corn bread, rice with ground turkey in it. Hubby had pineapple lemonade/tea. The food was good, and the rice with turkey was a little too salty. Clean establishment with a few tables to sit but no bathrooms.

Very disappointed- after ordering (2) of the Junky Stuffed Seafood Legs- @ 35.00 Each the turkey leg was missing a lot of the meat from the top part which was covered in the rice with about 4 shrimp and absolutely NO Crawfish tails. NOT One in either dish. We purposely started looking for the crawfish and not one piece was included in the rice. Also note that when ordering the Seafood Leg there may or may not be at least a 30 minute wait. For the amount of money spent I would not recommend this place they do not place the few ingredients that they do list on the menu within the meal.
