I love the Bang Bar. Great pour of wine. The fresh salad spring rolls were SO fresh. Great starter. We had the fish which was fun and very tasty. I love the green curry. Spiced just like l like it!

We ordered pick up from Bangbar on New Years Eve. Ordered food with Special Directions, as our home has food allergies (Bell Peppers). When we arrived for pick up, meal was not ready for another 15 minutes… not a huge deal, as it was a Holiday and could be expected.
Arrived home, opened bag to start plating the food. Immediately noticed one of our main dishes (Crispy Garlic Chicken)was full of Bell Peppers. This was very disappointing, as it’s a favorite, but was not edible due to its preparation.
The worst part of this whole thing was the complete lack of response to their errors. This is very concerning as some food allergies can cause huge health risks and in some cases even death. Still contemplating contacting the health department over this whole issue….

Tried this Thai spot and was blown away by the exceptional fried rice and perfectly balanced Pad Thai…both packed with fresh flavor. The service was friendly and attentive from start to finish, making the whole experience even better. I highly recommend trying the Spice Rack option if you enjoy customizing your heat level…it really takes the dishes up a notch

I always order for takeout and they make ordering over the phone very simple and easy. They misspell my name sometimes but I think it’s funny and I always get my order. Going inside to pick up is nice and simple too. The staff are always very nice and helpful. The only thing I order there is the Pad Thai and I am obsessed with it. Highly recommended for someone who hasn’t really tried Thai food before.

The food here is really good. I only remember the name to 2/3 of the dishes and that is the Crispy Basil chicken and the Marinated Thai wings. The noodle dish came with chicken, squid and shrimp. All was very good. Just wish lime wedges were offered. I’m definitely coming back to try their other dishes.

Met up with a friend who wanted to try this restaurant. The restaurant was quiet (Sunday afternoon) but the service was spot on. They checked on my a couple of times while I waited and then were quick with drinks and order when my friend arrived. Food service was quick and the food was good. Good sizing for the red curry and rice, and the 3 was definitely . Curry was good, a great amount of meat and bell.peppers in the curry along with some basil. A great first showing for sure.

We were in town visiting friends when they recommended this restaurant. WOW it was delicious.
The service was kind, patient and quick as we came just as they were closing there was zero rushing us.
The pad Thai was PHENOMENAL – probably one of the best I’ve ever had. It had the perfect balance of sweet, sour, spicy, salty.
The crispy chicken was unbelievable I could truly eat it every other day and be happy.
We ordered the spicy tamarind cocktail which had great flavour but not too much spice.
We also had spring rolls which were delicious but pretty standard
The ambience was really nice. I almost wish we lived in Seattle so we could come here weekly!!!
7 dishes and 4 drinks cost $150. Really reasonably priced and just so delicious.

We stopped by on a hot August afternoon to grab some Thai iced coffees to cool off and ended up having some spring rolls as since it was the begining of happy hour (4-6 PM). Both the drinks and food was good. Service was ok, as the waitress seemed distracted which was disappointing as we were only one of three groups there at the time.

Hadn’t been here before, so I decided to give it a try after an appointment. It was really empty for being around dinnertime. I thought maybe it was due to the incoming windstorm and people were heading straight home. I should’ve too and saved $35+.
After my food experience I’m thinking this may be part of the reason for the lack of customers.
I ordered hot hibiscus tea, crispy garlic chicken, brown rice and spring rolls. The tea was ok, hot to the extreme but after adding ice to cool down it was ok. I’ve had better hibicus tea but it was ok for a bagged tea. The rice was dark brown and different from any brown rice I’d had before but was good. The rolls were typically decent. They generally taste the same around the Seattle area so I didn’t have expectations one way or the other. The crispy (?) garlic (?) chicken was not good at all. Not crispy. Any garlic that was supposedly in the dish was overshadowed by the salt. The crispy basil tasted like crispy seaweed. I don’t like seaweed at all, so this made the experience worse. Visually, it looked good.
My daughter was meeting me so I gave the food to her. I’d forgotten she doesn’t care for bangbar either but said she’d try the chicken to see how it compares to a good Thai restaurant down the hill. I told her absolutely no comparison. My grandson cooks for a West Seattle restaurant so she planned to ask him if there was anything he could do to fix the saltiness. I haven’t heard how that turned out.
The restaurant itself is comfortable with just the right lighting. Quiet, but was that due to weather.
The service was decent. There were three diners in total so I’d expect it to be.
I don’t usually give a yes or no
recommendation when it comes to restaurants as tastes are so variable. Some can pile on salt, some people prefer not to. I’m just glad I tried this place on a slow night. I would think if you’re not hurried to get orders out the quality would be good. Dishes should be consistent busy or slow but if you have more time, in my opinion, it would seem you’d make sure the dish is good.
Happy eating wherever you go!

WARNING COCKROACHS

I placed a Togo order for lunch and as I was eating a living coackroach was crawling out of the bag. I am absolutely disgusted as I had ate majority of my lunch. Who knows if I ate a cockroach. When I called and requested the owner and explained the alarming health violation the male employee stated “I’m surprised because we just cleaned the floors” casually. They are aware that they have a roach problem. I immediately went to the reviews and looked for other reviews confirming roaches.

I am absolutely mortified. Furthermore I made the mistake of opening their roach bag in my car. I pray my car isn’t infested with roaches the way their restaurant is. Food looked fine until I looked down to see a roach. The roach had crawled out of the bag and I flicked it into the container for the photo.
