Wow, nailed the cheeseburger and fries. It shouldn’t be hard to do, but it can be messed-up. The fries were cooked to perfection as was my medium burger. Added a soft drink to hit ten bucks. Stephanie took care of me from behind the bar; she seemed a very nice person.

Hadn’t been in the candlelight for 10 years. They’ve cleaned it up and added on and it’s very welcoming. They’re big back canopy area should be up and running this summer for parties and bands or whatever.

For most small bars in these small towns what you see is what you get. But not this little joint. You are a dive bar on the outside but you go in and your quite surprised. A very long bar runs down the middle of the room fully stocked with a wide variety of liquor,wines, and Beers. With an impressive collection of craft beers on tap. There is a small dedicated pool room. A little small for league play as it gets cramped with full teams there. But being secluded from the main bar is nice. They run multiple pool league and dart league teams out of here. With a nice alcohol accessible patio porch out back great for summer nights.

I don’t bother posting unless it’s really good or horrible to warn you. Timmy and Jackie are gracious hosts they have outdoor events like clambakes and turkey raffles. I just like the homey atmosphere and being able to head over for a no-nonsense lunch and a draft. Maybe a game of pool before heading back to finish the yard work. Since they bought the place they have been renovating it they are putting back into the business and it shows. It matters when you care about your business and your people. PS the popcorn is great. Tell Em Mike and Alyce sent you as you asked for a basket!
