Pour Taproom is such a cool spot in downtown Knoxville! The concept is so creative and fun! We stopped by for the first time during our date night on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy, but not overly crowded. Both indoor and outdoor seating was spacious and clean. The staff members were friendly and helpful, and there was a huge variety of beverages to choose from. Pour Taproom is a great spot for date nights or to hang with friends. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Hi Mariah! It will not let me respond to my other review so let this say what it will!

So you just called me and my friends “unruly” and said that we were dismissed from the property? For YOUR information, we were never dismissed from your business and I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. We quietly enetered the front door, waited to be seated, and instantly felt like we were not welcome.

Maybe you guys thought we were apart of a group that this happened to? It seems as though you are again, forcing a negative experience onto us for no reason. Your rude bartender scanned all of our IDs, and we were in the place for over an hour.

Also – I have a right to share negative experiences I have had at your establishment! Just because you are a queer owner does not mean your bartenders are welcoming or nice people lol! Bad form to make my feel bad about sharing a negative experience, queer business or not. Shame on you!!!!

Two girlfriends and I walked over to Pour last night (we have been there before and really enjoyed it- it’s actually where we all met so we were very excited to visit again together.) We got our wristbands, found some seats, and friends got up to pour their glasses. I waited at our table for them to get back and within just a few minutes of being in the building, an employee began trying to give me some sort of sign language from across the bar that I could not make out. This employee (maybe 45, grey hair, on the shorter side with an apron) approached me and pointed at my drink (I had walked over with maybe 2 sips left, if that, of an outside drink) and asked me where I got it. I said “Oh, we just walked over here from xyz, but we like it better here” conversationally. He then walked around the table, grabbed my drink, walked off and threw it in the trash and disappeared. I can 100% understand a “no outside drink” policy. I genuinely would have no problem either finishing it (it literally was almost empty) or just tossing it if he’d preferred- but his execution was extremely rude. A “hey, unfortunately we do not allow outside drinks in here- do you mind tossing it for me” would have been plenty sufficient. That set the tone for the entire experience, and I don’t believe I’ll be returning. It seems as though complaints about staff here is not uncommon based on previous reviews.

Food – did not have so N/A

Service – bartender was EXTREMELY rude to me and my close friends during Pour’s February Drag Star Search Event. We felt unwelcomed, dumb, and like we did not belong at all, so much so that our experience was dwindled. I wish I asked for her name, because this bartender made me and my friends feel absolutely terrible about ourselves. I understand that you have a busy job (running around, dealing with drunks, etc.), but all we did was enter the establishment and we instantly wanted to leave. First thing she says is “Okay yea, no this is not going to work, all of your IDs, now”, word for word. I understand me and my friends might be freshly 21, but this does not excuse this behavior.

This experience, especially considering this was a queer event, put the absolute worst taste possible in my mouth, and I do not plan on returning.

Atmosphere – place was great. “Scannable” wristbands are a great idea, you just walk up, scan, and get a drink.

We love pour! It’s our favorite place to get drinks and spend time together relaxing and playing games. I love getting to try new flavors without having to commit to a whole glass. The food is pretty good, it is all like reheated as they don’t have a kitchen but the quality is good and it’s yummy!

LOVE this place. Sooooo many self pour options (not just beer!), events, outdoor seating, board games, etc.
They give you a bracelet that you put up to the spot just below the label/screen (above the tap), and it will measure how much you pour, which will then calculate how much you owe – i.e. you won’t be overcharged, and it’s a fun aspect of it all.
It’s in such a hip area of Knoxville; checking out this corner of downtown can’t be beat.

I’m not much of a drinker but came in with my bf. I was pleasantly surprised to find a lemonade THC drink here that was phenomenal! It beats a non-alcoholic beer any day, though they did have some options of those if you’re into it.

It’s a cool place that’s hidden in an old restored train station.

The place has a very unique concept of issuing you a wrist band and allowing you to sample and ultimately indulge on about three dozen types of beer where you are charged per ounce.

There are tons of games such as darts or board games to play while hanging out a couple of simple food options, real nice and relaxed place to just hangout.

Couple of different special nights a week such a Karaoke, all and all great place with a unique concept to the area.

I think an awesome addition would be some pool tables, I personally feel like that would perfect the place.
