Sat in for lunch around 1pm on friday. It was fairly quiet, not very busy. I was seated very quickly as a single person. That was great. I was sat at a table next to a larger party, whuch isn’t a huge deal. But there did seem like there were plenty of quieter tables that we’re appropriately staffed for me to be sat down at. Again, this is not a big deal at all, but just something of note.
The issue i do have is that nearly 1 out of 3 items i tried while i was there was roughly room temperature (boneless ribs, mei fun, barbecue chicken, and i believe general tso’s chicken). This is of major concern to me as to get to this temperature, and to have been there for a while, it must have been sitting in the temperature danger zone for some time. This is a major vector for food borne illness. I do hate to leave a poor review for a small business but this is a matter of food safety, so it’s not something I’d feel comfortable ignoring to leave a nice review.
To note, I did bring this up to the waitstaff (particularly the spear ribs since that’s the first plate i had that was cold) but it did not seem like a major concern when i brought it up.
The food that was hot was not bad, but not great. I don’t expect excellence from a 15 dollar buffet, so this did not affect my expectations much at all. Staff cleared plates quickly and left you to it unless you needed something. After grabbing a desert plate, a check was promptly delivered to my table while doing so in a way where I did not feel rushed.
All that said, I am not sure I will return, or recommend this place to friends or family. This is because I was not confident that i would not get sick later that evening.

I was really disappointed with my visit here. When I went to the buffet, I saw roaches in the serving area, which is completely unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone a place serving open food.
On top of that, there was no seating available because they said the restaurant was closing soon. Instead of offering a refund or better solution, staff told guests they could just take whatever would fit into a takeout container and leave. It felt rushed and unprofessional.
Between the cleanliness issues and the way closing time was handled, I don’t feel comfortable coming back or recommending this place to others.

Got seated fast, lots of options, servers were nice. The dessert options aren’t great unfortunately. It’s $25 per person if you only drink water, there’s a charge for soda.

Stumbled upon this place while going to Tanger Outlets & Regal Movie Theater in Deer Park ( mile or 2 down the road). Food is fresh and lunch price is reasonable. Atmosphere is ok, a little dark inside like a sports bar, could be brighter. Overall a good experience.
*Just Note* China City Buffet is the same as Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet! Look at the address, just a different name. Inside & outside signs are different too, old ones still up on the inside.

The food was okay. I wish the food temperature was a lot better, but it’s really your typical Chinese food buffet. I’ve had better but the price was good for what you’re getting. I paid around $16 for lunch at around 3pm I also wish there were more options to chose from I felt some things that were there weren’t as fresh as it could have been

Definitely a lot better looking after the renovation years ago. Food is very hit or miss. The little hibachi station is nice though. I miss the little bar that let me add a ton of chili oil to my food before it’s cooked though. I like filling up on sushi but the last few times the sushi options have been pretty meh sadly. I didn’t get an itemized receipt last time but I feel like the prices went up. 2 adult lunch buffets and a coke was $32
