Let’s start with Maddy our bartender. Amazing from the start even on a breezy spring day. We started with drinks. Both the Asbury Park Blonde and the Birdsmouth Low Dive Lager were cold and fresh tasting with no tap aftertaste. Plenty of wines and cocktails. Try a Shell-O-Shot for some quick fun with other patrons. We had the shrimp cocktail and Palmetto Grilled Cheese. Both were fantastic and exceeded expectations for dive bar cuisine. Great beach tunes and I’m excited for the live music later. Stop by for one or maybe three. Find a seat at the bar, on the Patio or near the front where it’s a little quieter. I promise you will enjoy your stay.

Came here before a show for a happy hour and loved it. Great selection of beers on tap and “lucky one” lemonade that partly goes to benefit animals in need. The art on the wall was so vibrant and fun and they had the perfect playlist going for the event. Def want to come back when we’re in the Asbury area and see a band play! Immaculate chill vibes, perfect for watching the waves before a show or just a fun day out 🙂

Live love low dive!! Only complaint would be sometimes its hard to get a drink bc of how crowded it can be but THATS PART OF IT!! Always a great atmosphere and live music, view of the boarwalk/beach you can access the back and go right in from the boardwalk, pretty good drink prices, never tried the food but it always smells good! One of my fav spots in AP!!

Nestled along the vibrant boardwalk of Asbury Park, this beach bar stands out as one of the best in the Jersey shore scene. Offering a refreshing oasis with ice-cold beer and delectable comfort food as well as sushi, it exudes an inviting atmosphere that beckons both locals and visitors alike.
Live music pulses through the air, becoming a cherished staple of the experience, with performances gracing the stage seven nights a week during the peak season.
Without a doubt, this spot embodies the essence of relaxation and enjoyment, where patrons can unwind, savor delicious bites, and immerse themselves in the melodies of talented musicians.
Whether seeking a quick escape from the sun-drenched shores or a lively evening of entertainment, this beach bar is the quintessential destination.

I’ll just say, if you wanna real New Jersey shore experience, that’s the kind of place you wanna come to. It is a dive bar in the Jersey shore where you meet some really cool people and there’s no stress. At least when I can hear during no posh people, it’s just regular people trench. Have a good time. If you come here you definitely will have a good time.

Super cute bar! Opens to the boardwalk and beach. Small concrete bar is super nice. Decent selection in mixed drinks, and local beers on tap. Friendly service and great location. Had a few drinks and apps, not outrageously priced.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, service was quick and the bartender was nice! Great view of the ocean and a great atmosphere, I would come back again. We got the beef empanadas and they were amazing!

First time here for a quick bite and got the chips with guac and pico which was good! They were kind enough to bring out a slice of bread for my dog upon request. Steven brought us a fresh bowl of water too.

Low Dive in Asbury Park is an absolute disgrace in how they treat customers- specifically the security. This past Friday night, a group of 20 of us, all 22 or 23 years old, arrived around 11 PM. The bouncer immediately denied us without even checking everyone’s IDs. He took the first PA license, claimed he “couldn’t see the UV,” then rejected three more IDs, including a VALID PASSPORT, before telling all of us to leave and refusing to even look at IDs from New Jersey or New York. He was rude, dismissive, and refused to let us speak to a manager.
This isn’t even the first time. Last summer, when we were all 21, we were denied entry again without reason. That time, the excuse was simply that the bouncer “didn’t like our IDs.” This is clearly a pattern of arbitrary decisions, abuse of authority, and power-tripping behavior from staff.
Every single one of us is of legal age, and we’ve been let in here before, including just last weekend. The fact that they continue to humiliate paying customers with valid IDs while showing no accountability or professionalism is appalling. We went to other nearby bars that same night with zero issues, proving the problem is unique to Low Dive.
Low Dive is unprofessional, disrespectful, and a stain on Asbury Park’s nightlife. If you look young, don’t expect fairness, respect, or even basic decency here.
