Scream For Dee
So, this is a quaint little diner inside a drug store. I’ll say the atmosphere is subdued. It was early so I’ll give them that. I ordered the 2 eggs, country ham and grits with toast breakfast. My eggs were cooked EXACTLY how I like them. My grits, although a bit more looser than I like them, were ok. I will say I was a bit disappointed with the ham scraps I received though. I ordered that plate because I could see that the gentleman eating at a table when I came in had a decent SLICE…but mine was scraps and settled in grease. The owner was present and she’s an older lady…seems she is connected with those in the community who may potentially regulars. The decor of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired however, I love a hole-in-the-wall type diner. I’m not calling it that but that’s the vibe I was impressed with when I stepped inside. I will not review the drug store here because I don’t want to mix the feedback…but they have some nice little trinkets to purchase. My picture is not the original presentation because I added salt and pepper, however, you get the jest of it…and the grease is also highly visible. I’m not saying I won’t return though….because I ate it and wasn’t too deeply disappointed. I may give them another chance! All because of who owns it and I think she’s worthy of another try!

First visit and the experience was delightful. The Cafe was filled with locals with a “where everyone knows your name feel.” I ordered a Thanksgiving in July type of special, consisting of Turkey/dressing with my choice of 2 sides (succotash/sweet potato casserole). It was perfect! The price was right, also.
This is a small place in the front of a pharmacy.
And, I’m hooked.

I am just mad that I’m only experiencing Roz’s food now! Roz is one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet and her waitress is friendly, knowledgeable, and very social. This little slice of heaven, located inside of a pharmacy in the Mechanicsville area, is a great spot for breakfast or an early lunch. There’s also plenty of sweets like cakes and muffins to satisfy that sweet tooth. I hope to go back very soon and visit Roz’s again.

First time dining here. We had the lunch special, turkey, with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans with cranberry sauce and dinner roll! Large portions so we took half home for dinner! Homemade blackberry cobbler to take home. It was delicious! Good food and friendly service! Will definitely be back!

I had breakfast with my cousin today & it was delicious, as always. Can’t wait to try the meatloaf that many rave about.

I love this diner! Good down home food at small town prices. I had a wonderful bacon cheeseburger, my daughter opted for a daily special of grilled cheese and a bowl of chili. Portions were huge. Granddaughter had a chicken salad sandwich.
It was our first time eating here, won’t be our last.

First timer, omg, Rose is the best, and got to meet Mrs. Roz, the owner. The conversation was the best, talking about old-school cooking and it’s the place to eat. I love liver n onions, having a conversation with Mrs. Roz about it was like my Mom teaching me how to cook. I’M GOING BACK ASAP

Best fried children I’ve had in awhile. You can have a great meal and not break the bank.
