UPDATE: I did return and requested the same meal and asked that the chicken be freshly done. The chicken was much, much better. It was well-cooked, juicy, and crispy. So, obviously that is the key. Make sure your chicken hasn’t been sitting awhile. It did take about 20 minutes, and in the end, it was worth it.

After trying a spicy breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac n cheese, and biscuit, all I could come up with is “good enough”. In my opinion, the food just isn’t like it used to be. I was glad to see it reopen after closing for a bit; but I miss the wonderful biscuits of old and flavorful, juicy chicken. It just isn’t there, sadly.

This church’s chicken is different the recipe is waaaaaaay better than any other church’s I have visited, the chicken was 10/10 we doubled back before we left the area to take back home and it was very fresh, everything was on point when in the area forget anything else get church’s on waterman and the price point is the business
