Came here for the first time last weekend for a group date night and we were all blown away by the Louisiana-inspired dishes and flavor combinations of Nola Jane. This place “smacked” to put it gently. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes but first our review 🙂 We loved the exposed brick walls and the Denver Sports decor, the close proximity to Ball Arena and the kitchen being open late are ideal. The different bars/sitting rooms made each space a different vibe (Upstairs bar was our fav) If you sit upstairs you will need to order from the bar – only downfall on busy nights. We had a combination of plates and drinks. The plates were big and full of flavor, pictures and ratings are in the photos. I could talk for hours on how good the food was but limited space here. Every bite was absolutely delicious, each plate was its own experience. Drinks were Nola Jane Old Fashioned 10/10, Moscow Mule 8/10, Expresso Martini 9/10, Nola Paloma 10/10, Hurricane 8/10. We highly recommend the BBQ Shrimp Mac n Cheese (not pictured), Jalapeño Hush puppies (not pictured), Red Beans and Rice, Blackened Catfish and Jambalaya.

We went to check this place out it was actually pretty good. I did not think I would be a huge fan of this kind of food because of the spice content but it was really good. Highly recommend the barbecue shrimp mac and cheese. This definitely looks like a good drinking bar to sit up at the bar stools.

Awesome establishment with a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The servers and bartenders were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience enjoyable without being overbearing.

I ordered the crawfish étouffée, and presentation-wise, it looked great. The texture was on point—nice and hearty, with tender crawfish and a smooth, rich sauce. I appreciated that it wasn’t overpowered with spices, which makes it approachable for most people. You could really taste the base flavors without them being masked by too much heat.

That said, I was expecting a little more depth and boldness in the seasoning. It was good—solid, comforting, and well-prepared—but it didn’t quite have that layered, soulful flavor that reminds you of grandma standing over the stove all afternoon. If you’ve never had étouffée before, you’ll absolutely enjoy it. If you grew up on it, you might find yourself wishing for just a bit more of that traditional kick.

Overall, still a great experience, and I’d definitely come back to try more from the menu.

Hands down one of the best Southern food spots I’ve been to! The flavors are on point, the portions are generous, and the prices are super fair. The gumbo was rich and comforting, the grits were creamy, the okra had that perfect crunch, and the étouffée was packed with flavor. And don’t even get me started on the mac and cheese with that special sauce, comfort food heaven!

On top of the amazing food, the staff made the whole experience even better. Friendly, attentive, and just genuinely good people who care about their customers. It’s rare to find a place where everything; flavor, price, and service; all hit 10/10, but this one does. I’ll definitely be back again (probably sooner than later).

A scouted the area on foot to find a good place for dinner. My wife and I had a 2 day visit to Denver. I spotted this and went in to check it out. The vibe was great. The employee made it seem like a good choice. So we came back together a couple hours later. I had the Debris Po Boy. Very delicious. My wife had the chicken tenders. Pretty good. We shared an amazing piece of key lime pie. We also had a good, but not great, piece of corn bread. Fantastic atmosphere. Would definitely go back if we are in Denver again

I really wanted to like this place, but wow… Nola Jane’s made me feel like I was inconveniencing the staff just by existing. Ordering food? A chore. Getting a refill? Felt like a personal favor. Paying the bill? Practically had to file a request in triplicate.
The food was fine… and by fine I mean aggressively average for prices that definitely thought they were doing something special. If I’m paying premium prices, I’d expect at least decent service or memorable food. I got neither.
Overall, the vibe was expensive disappointment with a side of “please stop bothering us.” Won’t be rushing back.

Finally made it here after having their award winning wings (Chicken Fight 2024).
Some of the best jambalaya I’ve ever had; I told them I like spicy, and they spiced it perfectly!

Gf had a fried chicken sandwich with mac and cheese; both were delicious!

This place is more a bar than a restaurant because it was loud and popping at 12 am. The food was mid compared to actual Cajun food. We got the Crawfish Ettouffee and it was way too spicy, and we like spicy! What peeved me was that I had ordered a pickle shot, but then the bartender told me they didnt have any more while I saw him make another one and give it to someone else right after.

Went to lunch here today and the food was so delicious! I had the fried okra and jalapeño hushpuppies for appetizers and the fried catfish plate with ettoufeé. The soft shell crab poboy was so good too! Don’t miss out on this spot if your un downtown Denver!

Best place I’ve eaten at in a long time, the service was just fantastic, Adam took care of our group so well that we will be coming back just to see him. The food was just right and we live New Orleans so we were sceptical at first but the Chef and the crew did not disappoint ‘ya heard me. Adam started us with some hurricane shots and we all enjoyed it, we recommend the Blackened catfish smothered 10/10, the collard greens (10/10, BBQ shrimp Mac and cheese (8/10), shrimp and grits (9/10), softshell crab poboy (9/10), crawfish cakes (9/10). Overall the food was top notch and did not disappoint, thank you Nola Jane.
