Nice little BBQ joint. If you like BBQ I recommend checking this place out.

The bad:
– Our hush puppies were in the fryer a couple of minutes too long making them completely inedible.
-My wife hated the pickles that they put on the plate.
-Green beans were cooked so long they were essentially green mush.

The okay:
-Macaroni salad, cole slaw, and pulled chicken.

The good:
-I enjoyed the Mac and cheese and brisket.
-Service was outstanding.
-Dining area was CLEAN and organized. It is a rarity to see this much care being taken.
-Employees were truly helpful and were on top of everything.

I’m vegetarian. Alpha Gal Syndrome (yes, meat allergy)! I had the side salad and mac & cheese. Both were delicious. Creamy vinaigrette is a must. NO allergic issues (which is front of mine when eating in a meat focused restaurant). My companion had the brisket plate, collard greens, and coleslaw. She LOVED it. She tried all the sauces and I think the sweet barbecue was her favorite. I asked them to put her pickles in a separate container so that I could try them and they were super delicious; actually tasted the cucumber in it, which I loved. Prices were very good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The only downside was that the salad was super tiny, but for three dollars just order a couple or three if you want a lot of salad! Priced appropriately.

I had the brisket meatloaf, and it was absolutely delicious. The garlic aioli and BBQ sauce were the perfect pairing on the sandwich. We’ll definitely be back.

Scrumptious local BBQ joint with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Meats smoked on site, sauces are perfection – “white BBQ sauce” on Amish chicken was a revelation, smoked turkey was perfect with all the sauces, house spicy cheddar mett was delish, poblano cream corn brilliant. Refreshing sweet tea. We ordered “some of everything”, had plenty of left overs and paid less than $60 – you could eat well here for less than $20. Excellent, friendly service. Pristinely clean. Charming art and local food truck to restaurant success story. Plenty of free parking, ample seating inside or out. Eat in, order delivery or cater your next shindig. Try it you will like it.

Amazing menu! Amazing taste! Best BBQ in Cincinnati by far!! Cole slaw was slammin’ and the collards are the bombdiggity!!! Brisket meatloaf sandwich was on point and the pulled pork was excellent! BBQ sauces were all very good flavors. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and really make you feel at home! The south ain’t got nothin’ on Pickles and Bones!!!! Thank you for a memorable meal experience!!!

Where do I begin!! I have been looking for a BBQ place in Cincinnati that I can call “mine”. Where the food represents the type of BBQ that I call BBQ – fresh meat, well cooked brisket, fall off the bone St. Louis style ribs, great tasting sides, and great service. Happy to report I have found it!!! The food and service here is top-notch! The owner graciously allows me to have the combo plate with spare ribs and brisket that made my Valentine’s Day (sorry wife). And my son had a Smashed Double Cheeseburger which he said was actually flavorful, something he finds hard to find. We both had the pickles which are home made sweet, and vinegary with a nice kick. The baked beans and collards are some of the best I have had in Cincinnati. The super friendly server brought two delicious home bake cookies on the house for dessert! And to top things off, the owner is a Michigan Fan! (No wonder his food is tasty!! ) Dude, this place is a 10 out of 10. I will be back with the fellas!!

We tried several things and everything was phenomenal. I had the brisket meatloaf sandwich meal with cheesy potato casserole and mac and cheese, and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Rich, comforting, and perfectly done.
My husband ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and absolutely loved it. He especially loved the spicy baked beans, which were packed with flavor and had just the right kick. Our son had the smoked wings, and not only did he crush them, but my husband tried them too and confirmed they were amazing.
And the pickles… yes, the namesake deserve their own shoutout. I’m usually a dill pickle person, but these sweet pickles completely changed my mind. Sooo good.
We’ll definitely be back. Every single dish hit.

Clean and organized spot. Wonderful BBQ that does not need sauce. The baked beans were spicy and wonderful. The Mac and cheese tasted great, but….I don’t like the tiny “Kraft” looking noodles. Didn’t stop me from not sharing my portion. One thing, no ribs, I’m a rib guy, but I’ll be back.

The sweet sauce was very good but I wish they had more variety in sauces.

The BRISKET IS GREAT!!! The brisket is so tender and delicate. You take a bite and it melts gently in the mouth. As well you will enjoy the smoked wings as well. You cant go wrong with your choice here. The baked beans are great!! The collard greens are good as well. The salad is very fresh. Don’t forget about their signature sauces as well.
