TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Overall great experience here. Our server Steven S. Was great and patient with us as we tried to order. He also offered extra condiments in case we wanted some. Food was great too. Different but in a good way. The pieces of chicken are HUGE! lol and loved their fries!

I pulled up to what seems to be the the most friendly fast food environment I have ever experienced. The food was fresh. The chicken was hot and the customer service was ON POINT. Amanda was my cashier. She greeted me and helped me with my decision. Her skills reminded me of somewhere more luxurious. The manager Arianna had the floor under her command while lending a hand to all the employees. You should have seen her. She was a busy bee completing her tasks with skill and grace. Her demeanor was very professional amd welcoming. I will be back.

I first visited Dave’s Hot Chicken three years ago when I worked at Ontario Airport and quickly became a regular customer. Since then, I changed airport locations and was thrilled to hear they were building one outside Lakewood Mall. My wife had never tried it, so I took her there for lunch. I ordered Dave’s #1 meal for her, which included two tenders with fries, a slice of bread, pickles, and Dave’s sauce. I chose the Hot heat level for her and a regular drink. The total amount came to $19.64, including a $2 tip. It may seem a little pricey, but the tenders are a decent size, and the flavor is fantastic. The ambiance on a Monday afternoon was calm and relaxing, making it an excellent spot for lunch. The employees provided superb customer service, and my order was ready within 10 minutes. The restaurant also has a patio section if you wish to eat outside. My wife enjoyed her meal but thinks she will order it at a medium spice level next time. We will be back soon.

Hands down my favorite spot! I’m Mexican and a huge spicy food lover, and Dave’s nails it every time. The chicken is insanely crispy on the outside, super juicy inside, and bursting with flavor. Spice levels for every mood — but if you can handle heat, go big! The seasoned fries are addicting, the coleslaw is fresh, and the service is always fast and friendly. I could eat here every day.

Tried Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time today and it totally lived up to the hype! The chicken was super juicy on the inside with the perfect crispy coating on the outside. I went with the medium spice level, and it had just the right kick without being overwhelming. The seasoning had great flavor — smoky, spicy, and a little sweet.
The sliders were amazing too, especially with the pickles and sauce. Fries were hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The staff was friendly and helpful in explaining the spice levels since it was my first visit, and the food came out fast and fresh.
Overall, awesome experience! Great flavor, generous portions, and a fun vibe. Can’t wait to come back and maybe work my way up to the “Hot” level next time!

Took my sons here for the first time ages 7 and 8 we got the saucy buffalo chicken bites, hot honey, a spiced bbq chicken bites highly recommend. The quality of chicken and flavor was amazing. We also got the number 4 Dave’s slider mild with cheese. Again it was great. Moses was our server and he was exceptional very professional and just great. This place was better than expected

As some one nashville born, im kinda picky about hot chicken. While Daves isnt the best, its good for what it is and definitely great for *where* it is in the LA suburbs. I didnt expect to be so pleasantly surprised by the quality.
It is fast food, in the end. Better quality than youd expect from that title,but its not going to knock your socks off like a real joint from downtown nashville selling the same recipie for 30 years. If you miss home like me, or wanna enjoy some good spicy chicken, its a descent choice for the price.

This was my first experience and I will be back! My cashier, Amanda, was very helpful with placing my order and answering my questions as a first-time guest. She also checked on me during my meal, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was comfortable, casual with a variety of music playing lightly in the background. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
