Just wanted a water and to check out the menu and was immediately assumed as less than serviceable. The girl at the counter immediately became rude with her composure and speech and pressures the situation having me forget I left my money in my backpack, because I wanted to sit outside.
Area is near the Pew campus of Grand Valley.
Love the white chicken chilli, that and the chips are always a delight. It’s unfortunate though that the service isn’t matching this gem nestled across the bridge on Fulton.
Great Mexican food, great prices.
Hopefully the ownership changes the counter service for more profitability.

First the person on the register was super friendly and engaging. 5 stars. The food 0 stars. I got a wet burrito for the first time in a long time usually just a dry burrito guy. But I always loved the meat sauce they use instead of enchilada sauce. But they changed the recipe and now it’s icky. It tastes like soya meat canned hotdog chili and almost no cheese melted on top. As for the actual burrito again the meat tastes different and not very good. Plus the toppings inside the burrito were 80% lettuce 20% meat and cheese. It’s like they are trying to drive away their customers. And I hear they are moving locations to Bridge Street to try to improve business. I don’t think it’s the location losing them money it’s the decline in food quality.

Adobe has been around West Michigan for years, we’ve been going here since there was a rotating sombrero on top of the roof. It’s a small restaurant with dine in and a drive through. The chips and salsa are house made and really good! If something is not right with your order, they go above and beyond to make it right. Gluten free and vegetarian options available on menu. Friendly atmosphere. Plenty of seating inside.

Update today’s new review…… got another chips and cheese supreme beef full order, and this is what it looked like. How horrible, ripping off the customer over and over again.
Old review.
This is 12. 50 worth of chips
This is supposed to be a full order of chips and cheese supreme beef.
I can’t even believe it and I’m not taking it back for fear of the complaint I made about it
I won’t be going here anymore.
I am a customer since 1980 and I am disgusted.
Do better Adobe on West Fulton.
Talk about a rip off.

Ordered take out thru the drive thru, hadn’t been here in a while.
Trying to support local, I asked for green salsa, they give me red.
??? what the what too bad I dont live closer, usually I check my bag, but forgot today since I specified I wanted green salsa since it is hotter.
Don’t worry I wont be back any time soon.
I will support a ‘Real’ Mexican restaurant that isnt overpriced.
Ohhh, check my bag and its beef, I dont eat beef, I asked for 2 chicken deluxe, Now I’m driving back to get what I asked for and will Never be back, waste of time and money.

Apparently they don’t know the difference between a chicken wet burrito and beef tacos. Pretty sure they shoved whatever food was left at the end of the night at us without bothering to mention we weren’t getting what we ordered–even though the correct order was read back to us, and my receipt clearly reflects what we ordered. Didn’t realize it was wrong until we got home, they would have been closed before we could get back. First time here, and last.

I recently visited Grand Rapids for the first time. I met a friend here for lunch. I really enjoyed Adobe’s! One of my favorites was their chicken dip; very delicious! I would definitely visit again if given the opportunity

Prices keep going up, quality and portion keeps going down. The tacos are 2.98 a piece now and might as well be the terrible tacos you get at taco bell. Absolutely not worth the money anymore, which is a shame since I used to get them quite frequently. We won’t be back.

This place is a Grand Rapids west side staple for tex mex. I hadn’t been here in a few years and decided to stop in for lunch. I especially like how they have a drive thru – very helpful for quick in and out and back to work. I ordered the super beef burrito + tomato and onion, and an order of chips and bean dip. The food was hot and fresh and tasted great and the service was good too. I love the homemade hot sauce – very tasty on the burrito and with their seasoned chips. I’m going to have to throw this place back into my lunch rotation. Don’t sleep on this place!

Stopped in for what I thought would be a quick lunch grab. 1 taco, a drink and a chips and queso. First I waited 3-4 minutes before anyone noticed me waiting to order. Most of the staff were standing around either on their phone or talking. Then it took the kitchen staff 6 minutes to prepare my food while the order taker waited at the pass. And the other 5 staff I could see continued standing around doing nothing. The food wasn’t good either. The taco barely has any meat or toppings. I get more at Taco Bell and they’re awful. And I love queso but this was just meh. So they stay at 1* because you can’t go negative. I’m done giving them chances. If I’m feeling tacos or burrito I’ll make the drive to Quicktime Burritos.

I saw that they joined Doordash so I considered giving them a try again. But when I saw the prices I said Nope. Beef burrito $8.50 on Doordash $11.30. They ALREADY charge TO MUCH for the tiny bit of meat and cheese you get inside and they want MORE if you order it for delivery? And don’t give me the Doordash charges them. Because I eat at Mom and Pop restaurants ALL the time and they don’t mark up stuff 30-40%

I’m starting to lose desire for Adobe. In 35 years of coming here I have always enjoyed the food. But the prices keep going up and the portions keep going down.

Update 8-2: This will be my final trip here after over 35 years of patronage. As shown in the picture my 8$ Full beef burrito was 90% Lettuce 8% meat and 1% cheese. And when I showed the employee I was told that everything was precisely laid out by management. I get more meat in a 2$ Taco bell burrito. From now on I’ll be patronizing Taco Boy for my big burrito fix. Especially since there I don’t have to pay extra for onions or sauce. Was a good run while it lasted I suppose.
