Came here with my wife for dinner this Friday. Great food, shrimp was unbelievable, Sam’s sauce is a new favorite. Place was clean staff, was super friendly. Definitely recommend.

Food is good, baby shrimp was a bit over cooked so chewy, fries, hush puppies and fried green tomatoes were amazing, fried pickles were a bit salty, my dad loved the crab cakes
My only complaint is that the owner doesn’t seem friendly, he was berating an employee in the dining room while we were waiting for our food. I’m a business owner and I know one thing, if you talk to your employees like they’re so far under you, you’ll lose them in an instant.
The waitress at the front was so sweet. I really didn’t like the way he was talking to her like she knew nothing, while also having her training someone.

My second visit to Sam’s in 3 weeks. First time the Jumbo Shrimp Dinner( excellent) Second visit Fish Po Boy one grilled, One fried also amazing. Grilled to perfection and lightly breaded. Also some of the best hush puppies I have ever had. So far the food has never been greasy and the service always great! Met the owner this visit… Great conversation and super friendly. Stop in and check out Sam’s.

I love this place for the fish and fries and coleslaw! Delicious! Service was great! It has 5 or 6 booths and service was from the owner today, very nice guy! Happy to bring us whatever we needed and great price for large amount off food!

First time here and I was very happy with how hot, fresh, seasoned and crispy the fish and shrimp were! Hush puppies were flavorful and moist. The red beans and rice was very good as well. I’m so impressed and will be back. Thank you Sam!

Cashier was super nice!!! Food was absolutely delicious. Now as someone from the south I do have to say it’s not straight up traditional southern fare, but more of an adapted southern style. Catfish was firm and cooked perfectly the shrimp was delicious huge and perfect and the crab cakes also delectable

My first visit was just ok. The cashier was very nice, great first impression, when entering the restaurant. We ordered 3 dinners, fish w/fries & coleslaw, fish & shrimp w/coleslaw & red beans and rice, chicken tenders w/French fries & red beans and rice. We sat in one of the booths and waited about 20 minutes, for our “to go” order. We arrived home, and our dinners were generously portioned and still hot. The “catfish” was fried perfectly, but was very rubbery, not flaky & meaty, like catfish should be. I didn’t finish mine. My husband wasn’t convinced that it was catfish. The shrimp was very good, not exactly, jumbo (large, perhaps), as advertised. My daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders. The slaw was fresh, and the red beans were ok. There was 1 order of red beans missing, so my daughter and I shared the 1 portion. We also ordered a side of hush puppies, which were ok. I would maybe, give this eatery, one more try, at some point, trying different options.

My boyfriend LOVED everything. I thought the breading was a tad salty. We had the fish, shrimp, crabcakes with an order of fried green tomatoes. Portions were AMAZING…we couldn’t eat all of it. Very clean restaurant. We will surely go again !! Great job

Boyfriend and I got dinner last night to go. Ordered way too much because we wanted to try everything. It was delicious. We will definitely be back! The mother/daughter duo and the other young lady working up front were super friendly and helpful. Great place! Wonderful addition to Wickliffe!
