My wife and I absolutely love this restaurant. The outside of the building is very unique looking. The interior and the decor is splendid. The food is wonderful, so authentic. The staff is courteous, friendly, they really make you feel welcome. We have nothing like this in Rincon Georgia. I’m going to tell everyone I know about this wonderful restaurant.

First off, everyone was absolutely wonderful and so cheerful. Our server was Manny, and she was a gem. Second off, I ordered the empanads, and let’s just say that I’m going to crave these when I go back to Florida. They were amazing. Count me in on coming back every time for them. I also ordered the rice, and that needs some improvement. I was not a fan. The chips didn’t seem as fresh as they needed to be. But my tequila sunrise was Ahhhmazing.

El Som has been my go to place in Statesboro for Mexican food for the better part of 2+ decades. The food is usually good for a decent price. But this last order that I got from them through Door Dash had HAIR in more than one burrito mixed into the meat. At first I thought it might be mine, but not when I found a second one inside the filling. Obviously there is some serious lack of hygiene going on behind the scenes and I am not interested in getting sick because management can’t be bothered to require staff to wear proper hair nets while working around food.

Always terrific service and food here. Atmosphere gives it a great vibe. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. Parking has never been an problem. Right in the area of all that Statesboro has to offer.

Several people have told me about this place so I finally decided to give it a try for dinner. When we arrived we were promptly seated however that was the only thing prompt that happened. It took well over 20 minutes before our drink order was taken and another 10 before our food order was. After waiting at least 15 minutes after our food order was taken we were told that there were parties upstairs and that the food would be delayed. When the food did arrive it was basic. Nothing fancy and nothing to make me feel the need to come back here. Next time I’ll give my business to a place that appreciates me as a customer.
