An absolutely delightful experience!
We had the butternut squash ravioli and it was heavenly. Coming back for that alone!
The filet mignon was more on the rare side instead of medium but was still delicious and tender.
The sorbet dessert was the perfect dessert for such a big meal.
The atmosphere was amazing as well as the live music.
Lavender Bistro is one of the best restaurants in La Quinta.

An unforgettable birthday symphony for the senses.
They say a great restaurant experience is more than the sum of its parts, and Lavender Bistro in beautiful La Quinta, California is the definitive proof. What was initially a backup plan for my 40th birthday dinner, on a friend’s fervent recommendation, became such a memorable culinary celebration.
Let’s start with the main event: the food. As a lamb connoisseur who often laments its underappreciation in the States, their lamb chops were a revelation…an absolute triumph. The dish was elevated to a work of art by a stunning lavender-hued cauliflower purée, a detail that was as beautiful on the plate as it was on the palate.
Our table also indulged in a feast of bacon-wrapped dates, decadent bone marrow, a perfectly cooked flat iron steak, and delicate lobster ravioli. Each course was executed with precision and flair.
However, while the food is undoubtedly stellar, it is the service and the enchanting venue that truly cement Lavender Bistro as a destination restaurant. From the moment you step onto the property, you are made to feel cared for and special. The lighting is masterfully curated, casting a warm, flattering glow, and the acoustics allow music to weave through the space without overwhelming it. Our evening was graced by the incredible sounds of ScottyMusicMan (IG) , which felt less like background music and more like a private serenade, adding a layer of magic to the ambiance.
Lavender Bistro understands the alchemy of a high-end experience. It’s the seamless coming together of exquisite food, impeccable service, and a captivating atmosphere that creates something truly extraordinary. A must-visit in the Coachella Valley.
And when you only turn 40 once, goodness this is the way to do it! ✨️

This place is hyped up. Nice atmosphere. However if you want high pressure sales tactics and BS this is the place for you.
They are perceived to be a high end restaurant but fall flat.
Food was cold and served fast. They have a 500+ seat capacity so if you like Disney come here!
Food and drinks are pre-made and boring.
Do not recommend at all.
Many better options.

Solid food, great atmosphere, outdoor for groups has an upcharge, but it’s worth it. Definitely make a reservation.

This place is amazing! We sat at table 134 and had Sebastian wait on our table. Excellent service!!! When I asked him for a dessert recommendation he said the Lillie butter cake. OMG…Best dessert!!! Even this review does not do it justice! Everything was soo good! Thank you Sebastian! They are lucky to have you!

The best meal and service. Joel was our server and his recommendations were excellent . The lobster ravioli was amazing as was the bacon wrapped dates and butter cake for desert. Sitting outside with the twinkle lights and live music added to the wonderful night. Don’t skip this place. Reservations for outdoor seating are a must.

Another Outstanding visit to Lavender Bistro. Our waiter Eric was fantastic. He explained things well and let us know it was our night and there was no rush. Eric stayed true to his statement. In no way were we rushed. We had a great meal in a beautiful environment on the patio. Thank you Eric and Lavender Bistro for a great evening.

The place was recommended because of a great patio. My strip loin “special” was below average with a poor cut full of fat. The fat I left on the plate. Very dissatisfied, especially for $65. My wife had a salad with steak, her steak was rare even though medium was ordered and so she asked the waiter to have it cooked further. I suppose the patio was a nice setting as we waited for her steak to come back. In the end, I let the waiter know that both the steaks were sub par. His answer? He would let the cook know. The full bill was presented. I can’t recommend this place. Not fair to charge so much, have a customer clearly not happy, and simply say “I’ll tell the cook”.

This bistro is tucked away in an unassuming area that almost makes you think you are in the wrong spot if it wasn’t for GPS. The outdoor patio area definitely gave all the right vibes for a lovely evening and the ambiance was dead on. We had made our reservations for my birthday dinner and had expectations of seating more centrally located but we were put into a corner with chairs that wouldn’t stop rocking. We asked to move tables but they kept us in the corner and just moved one table over, chairs still rocked ♀️. We ordered the lavender martinis to stay with the theme and they were ok but the thick lemon rind looked off putting and clumsy with a thick rim of sugar that was unnecessary because the drink was sweet enough. Our mushroom soup we ordered was lovely and definitely had a great flavor. As for our entrées, they felt very mid-level and not to the caliber we expected for the price we were paying. Aesthetically very pleasing but there were missed opportunities for seasoning and flavoring. All in all, a nice evening but definitely areas that could use improvement for an enhanced experience.

Lovely restaurant and ambience. Staff and service was excellent. Only reason I gave 3 stars on food was because our entree sides were luke warm. Main protein was hot. Assuming sides are plated ahead and the. Entree plated as it comes off line. Need to serve everything hot for prize paid for dinner .
