Got the famous chow down potato with brisket and it was delicious! The employees were so cheerful and helpful. I also personally loved all the scripture verses posted on the walls from customers. They really helped add to the positive atmosphere:))

I was craving bbq so I came in tonight for dinner. I’ve known this was here, but it was my first time in. The gentleman serving me recommended they potato or the 2 meat plate. I went with the plate so he recommended the brisket and the ribs or sausage. Final decision was brisket and ribs, coleslaw and mac n cheese. Those ribs were fall off the bone tender. You could smell the smoke on them before taking a bite and they were absolutely delicious. I’d previously read some of the other reviews about the brisket. I did find it on the dry side. But, also I am not a huge brisket fan so take that with a grain of salt. The bbq sauce was a wonderful compliment to the meats. I love finding meats that are stellar on their own and the sauce just adds that little . The coleslaw and mac n cheese were your nostalgic bbq joint sides and I loved them. The service spoke for itself. Wonderful gentleman working tonight. I’ll be back for more ribs and to try the rest of the meats one by one.

Hearty food! Literally!! You can feel the chef-owners’ kindness & love in their food! Our family went there and order 3-meat platter – brisket, ribs, and sausage!! The pork ribs dipped in the bbq sauce were tender, juicy, and heavenly good!! You gotta eat here!! God loves you! Merry christmas and Happy New Year!! ❤️

We are visiting from Australia and we wanted to try this place and it definitely didn’t disappointment. The food was delicious,the brisket was soft and melted in your mouth and the smoked chicken sandwich tasted as good as it looked. The sides that came with meal were a great accompliment. Customer service was great too. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food was not that great. We got here around early dinner time and they had no more sliced brisket. So we ordered the chopped brisket. It was dry and the Texas toast that was served with it was stale. The coleslaw was not to my taste but my friend liked it. The place looks like it had not been cleaned in years. There was so much dirt and dust. The outside was in need of repairs. The restroom was really not clean at all.

Stopped by while working in the area. I was craving a baked potato, but I typically dont like the way the meat tastes. I cant quite explain it but other places have a smell and taste thats typically not pleasant for me. I knew immediately upon pulling up by the smell I was in for a treat. I got the brisket spud and its huge! Meat was tender bbq sauce sweet and smoky and the potato was light and fluffy. They didn’t hold back on anything so no need for extra toppings. 10/10 anytime im in the area ill be back!

Ryan’s Smoke House was a nice clean restaurant. As we walked in my family and I got greeted with a big Welcome from Ryan and his staff! We ordered a family meal and a slab of smoked pork ribs to go! When we got home we were amazed of how the smoked food tasted! We will be back!

This place may not be the prettiest place on the outside but that is not what matters. There brisket was juicy , there ribs were fall of the bones good, and there sausage was ok. They barbecue sauce tasted amazing. There coleslaw tasted like coleslaw but their baked beans it could definitely come back for more.
Also the servers were very helpful and super friendly. I will be bake. It does not need to look pretty on the outside to be great on the inside.

After years of driving by and never trying this place out, I decided to give it a try. My wife and I both ordered the BBQ brisket baked potato and we both thought it was really good. It’s definitely better than Rudy’s and Joe’s BBQ in Alvin. It’s not as big as Joe’s but it had better overall flavor and I waste most of the potato at Joe’s anyways because it’s just to much. It was so good I ate every last bit of it. The guy working the counter gave us a sample of pork belly and oh man it was really good too. I’m definitely going back to explore the whole menu as this place is my new favorite BBQ in the area.
