Czech beer culture, right here in Jersey City? What more could you really ask for. LUKR taps, surprisingly good food, and just about the perfect set up for any kind of sporting event.

It really does have you feeling like you have been transported into anouther country when you walk through the doors.

Can’t wait to be back.

Love Hudson Hall! It’s one of the best spots in Jersey City to catch a game—huge space, great energy, and the kind of place that’s perfect for a rainy afternoon of sports and beer.

Their wing special during games is a major win—steep discounts on their smoked wings, which are seriously tasty. The rest of the food is solid too, and their beer selection is exactly what you’d want from a sports bar: varied, cold, and reliable.

That said, service can be slow if you’re seated, and they really pack those benches in, so be ready to get cozy.

Still, this place is a true JC staple, and one I always look forward to going back to.

I had generally found Hudson Hall to be a good place for a casual Saturday afternoon, with a solid beer selection, big screens for sports, and a fun, energetic atmosphere but not too chaotic. It had been a while since my last visit and I did not recall what my previous opinion had been about the food.

My wife and I brought our two young children this past weekend. The beer options remain strong, but the food was a significant disappointment and the primary reason we will not return soon.

We ordered wings, fries, and nachos to share, and chicken tenders and hot dogs from the kids menu. The wings were dry and lacked any real flavor, with barely any sauce for the Thai chili option we picked. The fries came out barely warm and were equally bland. The nachos looked poorly assembled with unappealing toppings and dry, unseasoned meat. The hot dogs were a bit crispy and the chicken tenders did not look like traditional ones my kids are used to, and looked battered like they way the fish are sometimes battered in a fish and chips dish. My little guy definitely was not feeling it and I did not want to make him eat it.

The entire meal felt flavorless and underwhelming, leaving us with little interest in eating. The service met our expectations from previous visits, but the subpar food overshadows the other strengths.

This place could work well for those focused on beer and sports viewing, but for families seeking a meal along with the entertainment, I recommend looking elsewhere. With some improvements to the kitchen, it could become a stronger neighborhood option, but for now, the chef has to work on easing up on the flame.

This bar has all the ingredients to be decent, but it’s completely ruined by the people running it.

The management is shockingly bad. The manager in particular has the emotional maturity of a toddler and the professionalism of someone who shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the public. He is rude, dismissive, and actively hostile to customers.

It’s almost impressive how quickly he can turn a normal night out into something uncomfortable and unpleasant. Instead of making guests feel welcome, he creates an atmosphere where everyone feels like they’re doing something wrong just by being there. Talking down to patrons, snapping at people, and acting like he’s on some weird power trip seems to be his default setting.

The drinks are fine. The space is fine. The vibe could be fine — but none of that matters when the person in charge clearly despises the very customers keeping the place alive. A bar lives and dies by hospitality, and this one is dying fast.

Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere you’re actually wanted.

Great staff in the smaller back bar, looked after our table in a big crowd watching the Knicks final game. Food was great and the beer options were strong.

Only gripe was having to reserve tables at the main bar for a game when the website says the opposite.

Their food is better than just bar food! Had brunch on weekend, and everything was good. Would have been nice if they put more veggies and bigger fish for fish taco, but other than that, their fries are crispy and not too grease, and they also have some kids menu options.

This was my first time here. Didn’t know much about it. It wasn’t really my crowd. Skewed a bit younger and louder than I would prefer. Didn’t really like the picnic table seating either. As they sat my date and I with four other people at the table. You move the bench for one, you move it for everyone. That being said, the sliders were really good. They were freshly made and even had the grill marks on the buns which I like. The service was good, our waiter was friendly. It was pretty full so I’m sure it’s a great spot for those who know what it’s about.

I am a visitor from Australia and we had a quick stop at Hudson Hall to quench our thirst. A very authentic spot. The beer was very tasty and cold – I chose on from New Jersey. The young lady that served us – very friendly and helpful – explaining the different beers on tap.
Did not tick food – we did not eat.
The renovations made it into a very interesting place – to get a feeli g from the past! Great material!

I’ve only been here on game days (NFL). The atmosphere is always kinda electric; depends on who you support. They have week brunch till 4, you can order a lot great cocktails – I recommend the Irish coffee. It can get a bit rowdy, but that’s what sports is all about. I really love the exposed brick architecture and the selection of beers as well.

Came to watch an NBA game on a Saturday night with friends and had a great time! Lots of beer options on tap and in cans/bottles and you can get pitchers of IPAs too! Their food was pretty good for bar food. We got the buffalo nuggets and loaded tater tots and both hit the spot. The atmosphere is cool, it feels like an indoor beer garden. They had a DJ playing all of kinds of fun mixes, but it was pretty loud. It was difficult to have a conversation with anyone not sitting directly next to or across from me, but I imagine it is probably a bit less loud during the daytime. Overall a good experience and I would stop by again!
