We ended up here on a whim when the wait next door was too long, and I’m so glad we did. The vibe feels like a step above a dive bar, laid-back but elevated, and the house cocktail menu is phenomenal. These are creative, well-balanced drinks you’d never find at a true dive. I had the Cactus Blossom and the Thyme Bandit, both savory, refreshing, and memorable. We liked it so much we came back again after dinner.

Everyone has bad days, but this was the worst experience I’ve had with a bar.
My group went to Lone Wolf after a work event, somewhere quiet to chat with friends. The bouncer refused entry to one of our group members (a musician) simply because she was singing while coming inside the bar. There was no disruption or issue, she wasn’t drunk, just someone in a good mood, and he immediately told her she needed to go home.
When my significant other asked why our friend wasn’t allowed inside, the situation escalated way out of hand. After our friend left and the bouncer finished checking other IDs, he angrily walked over to me and told me we had to leave, saying, and I quote, “get her (my SO) out of here now before I embarrass her.” For context, my SO and I had already been allowed inside the bar when this happened, and we couldn’t even explain to the rest of our group what was going on.
As we were exiting, I commented to the bouncer, calmly, I might add, “you sure like your power”. He then responded by following me outside and getting in my face aggressively on the sidewalk after we had already left. It was unnecessary and the only reason he backed off was when I asked him directly, “Are you going to assault me now?”
I understand that bars need security, but there’s a big difference between doing your job and abusing the authority that comes with it. I’m sure there will be some alternative narrative that management responds with to defend their reputation, which is fine. All I can say is that if this is how Lone Wolf treats potential customers, I will take my business elsewhere.

Stopped here for a quick drink after just landing from Cali. Nice guys behind the bar, tamales were , and the old fashioned definitely was on point.

Decent looking bar, good location. Awful service, awful drinks. Its a wanna be dive bar with tough guy performative acting from guys from Naperville. Lacks authenticty. Go-to Rossi’s a legit real dive w real ppl.

Great happy hour spot – lively with a great menu. It definitely is popular so can get a little loud but I like that it also has a lot of energy. The Miami vice was delicious and refreshing for the summer!

Local dive bar is a welcome respite in this otherwise trendy neighborhood. If you just want to chill with friends and get a drink, this is a great place to do so.

Greg was an amazing bartender. The cocktails were delicious. Found this gem while waiting for a reservation at Au Cheval. Can’t wait to return and try more of their drinks! The Loco Lobo was a smoky mezcal dream and the jungle wolf added fruity flavor to the mix. We tried the Espresso martini as well and it was a great pick me up.

Rude and unsafe
I went outside to make a call and when I wanted to go back in, the bouncer said I had to wait. After a while I asked again. He had me standing there for over 10 minutes before telling me I wouldn’t be allowed in at all.
Meanwhile my friends were inside and thought I’d be in after I “waited”.
Bouncer claimed I was stumbling and too drunk (not true) I have a german accent, and was trying to tell the bouncer that I wasn’t slurring my words but he just laughed at me (jerk).
Even if I had been drunk, in what world do you then have a girl stand alone outside and don’t tell her you won’t let her back in? That’s so unsafe.
