On the way back from the Tidewater area I was seeking a place for some good, local grub and saw the reviews for Two Drummers and came here. The parking was packed on a weekday around 1PM and when I went inside, they were really busy, but there was plenty of seating at the bar, so I chose that.
My server was great! Very friendly and helpful with the menu. She said one of her favs for lunch was their smoked meatloaf, so I chose that. I got it with a side of mac & cheese. It came out pretty quickly and looked and smelled really good. It tasted great! I love a good smoked meatloaf and this one definitely fit the bill! The mac & cheese was decent. The mashed potatoes and gravy that the meatloaf was sitting on were also really good. I have to say, I wasn’t too impressed with their spicier BBQ sauce, it didn’t seem spicy to me, almost tasted just like the regular BBQ sauce (wonder if someone filled the bottle with the wrong stuff?), but their mustard based sauce was excellent and I used it primarily.
Overall, a great visit, I’d definitely return and would recommend stopping in! The other nice thing is they’re right on Rt60, so I didn’t have to get back on that horrible 64 when done, I took 60 back to 295, which is less stressful than 64 – so it was a win win!!

Ordered a wide variety of foods to try as much as possible (with plenty of leftovers). The Brunswick Stew, Burnt Ends, Sweet Cornbread, Pulled Pork, and Banana Pudding were all top notch. The Sausage, Brisket, Fries, Slaw, and Hummingbird Cake were good as well.
Only cons, you might have to flag down a waitress for refills and be careful where you place your hands on the dilapidated railings when going up/down the stairs outside.

Excellent service and a great atmosphere. Overall the food was real good. Barely missed getting five stars because imo the pulled pork, although very tasty, was too wet. Regardless, still a solid BBQ joint.

Big portions, good price. Employees are friendly. I ordered fried strip steak however the breading was not so crispy. My husband ordered Angus beef brisket dip which tasted great!

Cutest little restaurant ever, and the food is to die for. A little pricey but once you get the food you see why. The portions are not lacking, we had plenty left over for later. The staff is very nice and attentive. Will definitely be coming back since i live so close!

Everyone around raves about 2 Drummers, but I just wasn’t feeling it. The service was friendly, but I was with a large group (like 20+) and they only assigned one waitress, so at best it was not great service,but it wasn’t awful either. I think with an extra server or even a runner to help, it might have been better. I got the burger with BBQ on top and TBH, I couldn’t really taste either very well. The burger was cooked properly and the pulled pork was a good consistency, but the sauce was meh. I asked for my fries to be very very crisp and they were also meh. No more well done than your average fries. Also, they use those fries like one of the big chains does, that are dipped and rolled in something. I hate those to begin with. They are fries a restaurant uses when their fries suck. It wasn’t bad food or bad anything, it just didn’t hit me right on that particular day. I probably won’t go back unless meeting friends. And if I do, I’ll try something else, more traditionally bbq.

Had the burnt ends, three pigs plate, and the brisket and ribs plate and shared everything but could not eat everything. Portions were substantial especially when you considered the cost and quality of the food. Would you consider moving to Minnesota so I could eat here regularly? Service was fast a friendly.

Went on a Thursday night and sat on the patio to enjoy the live music (which was lovely). Ordered the bloody mary, the porky fries to share, and chicken skewers, bbq pork platter, greenbeans, and Texas caviar. Everything was beyond what we could have expected and the portions were HUGE. Service was excellent. Will remember for future visits.

Great time! They accommodated 15+ men for lunch time on a Sunday. No problem for them. Our waitress was Kris S and she was a pro. Food came out very quickly and it was all fresh hot and delicious. Great bbq and sauces.
