Best place for a great prime rib dinner (after 5pm on Fridays only) in town. Love their comfort Italian food.

This evening I ordered the 12oz prime rib and it was huge – and fantastic at that. I highly recommend the Little Italy too – a great way to try a few different things on the menu. Service is always great and friendly. Highly recommend Katie or Alexis as waitresses! They are both fantastic. We love making it a habit to come here when we want to eat out on Friday nights! I also recommend the Italian sausage stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. They were fantastic.

Had a nice dinner date with the wife at Mazza’s in Mount Vernon Ohio. This is a family-friendly Italian Restaurant that serves decent comfort food at a reasonable price. The portions are large, the atmosphere comfortable and the wait staff is friendly. Our food came out quickly. My wife had the eggplant parmesan which she enjoyed. I had a burger which was good, but nothing memorable. Get the bread service as it above average, although you might have to ask for some extra butter. The booth seating is also recommended as they are large and comfortable. The noise level allows for easy conversation, which can be a challenge in many restaurants these days. Overall this was a pleasant experience… 4 Stars!

My family and I went to Mazza’s on Sunday, January 4, to celebrate my parents 54th wedding anniversary. We typically order take out, we’ve ordered many times in the past. However, for this particular occasion, we dined in. From the moment we stepped foot in to Mazza’s, each employee went above and beyond. Our server in particular, was amazing! She took our order without writing one item down and remembered it all, it was quite impressive. All of our food that we ordered was delicious! We ordered the lasagna, the famous salad, a pizza and a kids order of the chicken fettuccine. The garlic bread with cheese is one of my absolute favorites, we ordered that as well. We ended with a piece of cheesecake and the spumoni. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is always delicious and the staff members are wonderful! I look forward to our next visit!

To start, it’s fine. Better than Olive Garden by leaps and bounds, no question it’s a family restaurant.

I kept it simple by ordering the famous salad and the full order of spaghetti and meatballs and I took advantage of the warm bread and butter.

Both things to my mind are prime examples of what the restaurant hopes to show to the public.

The warm bread and butter were delicious, but I held back some of it to eat with my spaghetti… It’s a broke kid habit from back in the day.

The server was efficient, kind and quite pleasant. The very first thing that came out was the salad and to be Frank, were it not for the tomatoes? I would have sent it back. It had been dressed too long, and the dressing was both acid and garlic forward to such a degree that I could not finish it. Despite that I watched several tables box up their salad and take it home.

It must be popular and i’m sure folks love it, but to me, it was hard to take. If there were other things in it, such as croutons or black olives, perhaps some antipasti, it would have been more appetizing to me.

I don’t think that it is low quality, it’s simply was not to my taste.

The spaghetti meatballs arrived and a full order is about a cup and a half of pasta with plenty of sauce and two meatballs. The dish overall was good, the meatballs were very tasty, had a soft and fine texture and complimented the pasta very well. The sauce was bright and tomato focused but lacked salt, which was on the table, so no problem there.

I ate the entire entree and I do not regret it. This isn’t the kind of Italian place that feeds you until you pop, which i’m fine with because the quality is present.

It’s been around since 1939, so they’re clearly doing something right, but if you have to talk to anybody after you eat, or you want to go kissin on your sweetie after dinner, either share the salad or avoid it altogether.

First time here after driving by many times. We were seated quick but it took 5-10 mins before we were greeted by the waitress. Once greated she did a great job and kept up with refills on drinks. The kids had the fettuccine Alfredo and loved it. The wife and I had the antipasto salad and shared a pizza. The salad was good bu5 the pizza was average. Reminded me of little ceasers pizza. We will be back and will try different pasta dishes.

I’ve come to this restaurant countless times but today on New Year’s Eve will be my last time in Mazzas. We have come here for dinner the past 3 new years ever. My wife and I said if they run out of dessert for the 3rd year in a row we would never come back. I asked the waiter even before I ordered my meal that we both wanted tiramisu. We didn’t get it last year since they sold out so I wanted to get ahead of the problem. This was at 7pm. Of course, BOTH the desserts on the premade menu were sold out. We were given frozen cheesecake that I’m convinced came from the Walmart across the street. Who ever does the ordering for this night needs to get it together. The food is good enough and the restaurant and staff are very nice but 3 years with no dessert that was pre planned is sad. We drive an hour to come here as my wife’s grandparents used to come here so we go in their memory. We will be making our own memories next year.

The food, the ambiance, the service and the presentation was excellent.

I had the Delmonico steak with horseradish and gorgonzola crust. Oh my goodness it was delicious!
I love the soft warm bread and real butter.

My friend and I tried all the desserts because it was both of our birthdays. We loved them all!

We went there for a wedding reception dinner. Their famous salad was excellent, though a little heavy on the blue cheese. The food was good but was served for a group so it wasn’t quite 100%. The staff was excellent and very attentive.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend so we drove the hour for my birthday dinner. I just have a couple complaints. Our salads, appetizers, and entrees all came out, literally, within a minute of each other not giving us enough time to eat one before the next got cold. My husband got the prime rib which he says was delicious and he was able to cut it with his butter knife (and because a steak knife didn’t come with it). I got the fettuccine and added chicken. It was kinda dry….could have used more Alfredo sauce and the chicken was a little dry. Everything else was good….just wish it could’ve been warmer by giving us time to eat between servings.
