Came in early. There was only one waitress. She accommodated us by giving us private seating away from everyone else. I knew the big country skillet was more than I could eat but it was still worth getting. The crunchy potatoes are the best part. I could go for a bowl of just those with some gravy.

We were greeted by a young man named Dontavius who was very helpful. There was not enough seating available for our party at the time but he was willing to accommodate us with a small wait (less than 5 mins). Nicole came a provided us with drinks and let us know that our waitress would be with us shortly. Amber (our waitress) was amazing and very personable! We had multiple special orders and when it came out it was exactly what we asked for (Shout out to the team of cooks). She continued to check on us during our visit. Due to the hospitality that was shown to my family and I, Perkins will continue to be a place where we enjoy our meals. Amber, Nicole, and Dontavius are valuable assets to the Perkins team!

The food was good but I got 2 chocolate muffins with frosting to go. The girl said they were delicious, when I got home I cut one in half to put butter on it, the muffin was dry and days old no taste to the muffin or frosting. I threw them both in the garbage. Won’t buy anything out of the case anymore.

I got the pot roast, which has peas, carrot, sauce, and onions in it. Since this place is rated pretty hightly, I assumed the peas would be fresh and the carrots perhaps quartered and cut in-house. The sauce I hoped would be like A-1 sauce. The onions I assumed would be soft and flavorful. As you can see in the picture below, I did not receive that. The carrots and peas I can clearly tell were frozen like the ones you get at the store and precut, the sauce was very thick and not smooth at all, and the onions were a bit undercooked and crunchy, but not really in a good way. As is shown, I removed the sauce and vegetables because they didn’t look good at all. There was SO many vegetables compared to the meat, but the meat itself was pretty good. My father and brother got milkshakes and it took many minutes for a spoon to be brought. I was overall not very satisfied with my meal and it left me a bit hungry.
