This spot & meal will be remembered as one of the highlights of my trip to Greenville.
Las Meras Tortas specializes in Tortas but also tacos, burritos, huaraches, flautas, and quesadillas. * Chicken nuggets and fries for the kiddos too. Despite not having a 5 page menu to flip through, they have numerous of variations to contemplate between – and what they do, THEY DO EXCEPTIONALLY WELL.
I ordered an Al Pastor Torta, side of chips, and a horchata for modest price. For the economic price alone, I will be back. The torta came out fresh on toasted bread w/ delicious marinated roast pork, refried beans, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, Mexican cheese, avocados, and a little mayo. The horchata was perfect – filtered well so no chalkiness or clumps of cinnamon. Their order of chips came out hot and generous enough to sport its’ own tray. Now THIS, is what won me over and put L.M.T in a league of its own: the salsa & garnish bar! You were able to go up and self serve with various homemade options – salsas with different spice levels: Arbol, Jalapeno, Tomatillos, Avocado, etc. as well as sauteed onions & jalapenos, limes, pickled onions (that had a nice zip of oregano), sliced radishes, and sour cream. Literally the topping bar of my dreams, making this torta and chips top tier.
This immaculately priced & tasting meal was delivered with genuinely nice & charismatic service. Everyone was all smiles and happy to provide an outstanding product and service.
I cannot emphasize this any further, this is the spot! Don’t even contemplate or hesitate. Anytime I think of my trip to the area, this lunch will be at the top of my recollection

Great food, great service. The place is clean, sauce bar, with lots of options including pickled carrots, onions and many hot sauces. I used to be a flautas girl, but have now changed to tacos. I find myself going often.

!Mi torta cubana era muy bueno! Let me start of by saying my Cuban Torta was very very good. Awesome! !Asombroso! The staff was very friendly and polite. This was the Taylor’s location. Only complaint is no public restroom for the eat in crowd. If you were coming off a job site or walking over from the many businesses around, you would want to be able to wash your hands clean. again !!NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS!!

$8.99 (plus tax) to upend your life. Best sandwich I’ve ever had. In my life. Best ever. I always get the Española, which has Mexican sausage, omelette, beans, jalapeños, cheese, and a bunch of other great stuff on it. Biggest sandwich for ten bucks ever. I usually eat at the one on White Horse rd, but this location is where they bake the bread IN HOUSE. Unbelievable bread. I like this sandwich so much, I literally get what I call a “celebration torta” at the end of every college semester when I get good grades. That’s how I reward myself. (I obviously get them other times, too). This is several semesters running, and I’m going to continue this tradition for every celebratory occasion until I die. One good sandwich can turn your life (and grades) around! I’m dead serious; best sandwich ever. Ask my friends. They call me the sandwich king. I’m not kidding about that, either. Every location I’ve been to is equally good. Salsa bar is tremendous too, with all kinds of…salsa, obviously, but crema and peppers and corn, too. All perfect. Do yourself a favor and go get a torta. Come hungry, and prepared for an existential experience.

This place is just simply awesome! Everything on their menu is top-notch, (I don’t like Huaraches, but that’s just a personal preference)
