In this small restaurant, you can try the Alsace specialty, tarte flambée. The place is small, so it would be a good idea to make a reservation. If you decide to visit places like this, keep in mind that the main ingredient is cheese with a very strong smell — even the street outside smells like it — so it might be wise to wear something you won’t mind not wearing again. lol
Tarte flambée is like a thinner pizza, but the cheese on top is amazing — strong and full of flavor, giving it a wonderful aroma.
The lady who served us was a bit slow, but she was serving all the tables by herself, so I can’t really blame her. In any case, it’s definitely worth trying.

If you are in Colmar and you want to have Flammkuchen for dinner, don’t look further, this is the best place for Flammkuchen. They have lots of varieties and they are authentic. The waiters are professional and they looked after us nicely. The price is very good for the value of food you get and considering you are in the heart of the city centre. Recommended.

Tiny place with fantastic Taste Flambé which is the only dish you can eat here in savory options with Munster cheese or different Tommes cheese variations. For dessert you can have an apple or apple with yummy “streusel” version. Reservations needed since this place is always full.
The decoration plays with some of the typical elements of Elsass restaurants but very “clean” and less stuffed with the Kitsch decorations many other places feature.

Great, no frills, food and service. Good for an affordable food option, but also to get the full feel for the local tarte flambee! Definitely worth the visit.

Super nice atmosphere and very tasty Tartes Flambèes. The service is very good and fast. Note that the restaurant opens at 19:00 for dinner. The sweet one with apples is super!

They open for dinner service at 7pm. We walked in at 7:04 on a Tuesday and there were only three tables available.
Service wasn’t anything special, one guy working the entire restaurant like a pro – efficient but not particularly friendly.
The food was good. We split the cheese, bacon, garlic and chive for dinner and then the apple streusel for dessert.
If in Colmar, it’s a great find!

It was a great surprise for us! The pizza was delicious! We were a little worried since it didn’t have tomato sauce but we were greatly surprised! The beer was interesting but not bad!
