Dinerlike daytime cafe offering pancakes, fish dishes & sandwiches in laid-back surrounding.

Had a great brunch at the Captain’s Galley. The Hawaiian pulled pork eggs benedict special tasted fantastic. The home fries were crispy and browned nicely. Our server Lizy B was attentive and polite. The building is a vintage Key West style beach house. Pretty cool.

Had a wonderful breakfast today. Country fried steak and eggs with grits for me. Pumpkin pancakes for the wife. All of the food was good and quick. Service was great. The pumpkin pancakes though, amazing. Cream cheese frosting for the top. They are seasonal so don’t wait. Go get them soon. Very worth it. Nice little restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Awesome place, food and service! Not the generic breakfast diner but real home made (grandma cooking in the back) breakfast. My wife kept saying “it’s all so good I don’t know what to take a bite of next”.. We’ll be back!

Every Mother’s Day, we try to have breakfast here with our son and girlfriend plus grand children.
So, sad part is our son passed this last year. So, it was kind of a different story. But we all shared biscuits and gravy plus a large cinnamon roll too. Each had their own breakfast too. Overall it was a very nice time. The staff was friendly and willing to help you. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Food is great and the atmosphere is nice.

The food was excellent! My mom had the seafood omelet, which was loaded with real crab meat, perfectly cheesy, and exceeded my expectations. I ordered the steak bowl, and the steak was cooked to perfection—one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The grits were creamy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious.
The service, however, was a mixed experience. The person who served us was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of. Ironically, we later found out she wasn’t even our assigned server! Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she truly made our visit enjoyable.
Our actual server, Ally, barely acknowledged us. She didn’t take our order, bring our food, or even clear our plates. When her coworker came to remove our dishes, Ally showed up as well—but only to stand there and walk away without offering any assistance. When it was time to pay, I really wished I could have tipped the person who actually took care of us. I sincerely hope Ally passed along the tip because she certainly didn’t make us feel welcome.
Great food, but the service left much to be desired.

We had a very disappointing experience here. We waited almost 45 minutes for breakfast and another 25 minutes just to be seated, even though it wasn’t overly busy.
Once we finally sat down, the waitress was very rude and acted like we were an inconvenience. She was short with us, rushed us to order, and didn’t seem interested in providing good service at all.
To make things worse, 3 out of the 5 meals came out wrong, and the food quality was poor. After eating, several of us ended up with stomach aches, which is unacceptable.
Overall, bad service, long waits, incorrect orders, and food that made us feel sick. Definitely do not recommend.

Stopped by this breakfast spot the other morning while passing through town. The place had a cozy, casual vibe and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The food came out pretty quickly, and the portions were decent for the price. I ordered eggs, bacon, and pancakes — everything was cooked well, though nothing particularly stood out as amazing. Coffee was hot and refilled a few times without asking, which was nice

Ft. Pierce for New Year’s 2026 fireworks show amazing. We did local restaurants support locals. Reviews stated dont do lunch @ Captains galley so we did breakfast. Place was full & there was a wait. Server Katie F., was nice but impatient. One in our party food was incorrect, that happens so ok. The food was not as expected from the ratings we read. The French toast tasted like rancid butter or vegetable oil residue, pancakes were dense, tasteless. Cinnamon bun dough raw dense not fluffy, store bought has better consistency. Eggs were standard and grits tasted like instant grits. We are breakfast folks we try many options. Sadly one in the party got sick, like food poisoning. After visiting Sunrise city Cafe which was delicious, I suggest Captain Galley for 2026 step it up.

Shout out to Allie who treated me as if I was the first customer of the day even though I walked through the door 30 minutes before they closed. Thank you for being a Rockstar Server to this tired, road-trip traveler. I was so tired & hungry I didn’t even realize you were closing…
None-the-less, check out the 2 photos I managed to take after I had devoured some of this delicious food. The biscuits were on point, the chef even toasted them on the flat top for me. (You must have seen my tired eyes, thank you.)
I highly recommend this stop for any weary traveler in need of some great breakfast & good hospitality.

Really delicious breakfast food and worth the wait. I normally would not wait 45 mins for any restaurant but decided to stay for this place for it being my first time. I am glad I did. The food was great.
What really impressed me was the portion sizes for the kids meals. They were HUGE and only $4.50 which was great. The french toast sticks were homemade and really stood out to me. They were delicious.
The home fries with onions were also one of the best things I ate on my plate as well. Would definitely come back to try other food options. They have a large array of menu items.
