It sounds funny but one of the ways to know a bbq place is good is when they run out of brisket… And they will run out if you’re slow getting there on a Saturday so plan accordingly if that’s your thing
Being an NC native I know that pork is the only true BBQ meat though so I was ok without the beef. I’d seen a photo of the Spudzilla on another review and decided to give it a try… Let me tell you, that’s amazing. The pork bbq here is excellent, in a large part because of their outstanding house bbq sauce. They’ve got a number of different sauces but the standard one is a great smoky blend of ketchup and vinegar base that reminds me of something you’d get in KC. They give you healthy portions of whatever you order and no one is going hungry. Multiple folks with our group got the smoked chicken version of the Spudzilla and said it’s the best smoked chicken they’d ever had. Super tender and no dryness at all. Their hushpuppies are on the small side and delightfully crisp. Very tasty side!
Be sure to grab a dessert (to go if you filled up on the spud like I did). The banana pudding was the perfect finishing touch to the amazing pork bbq.
You’re doing yourself a disservice if you drive past this local gem to eat at some chain restaurant…

I ate here several times while I was in town. The brisket tacos I got to go the first try sold me on the place…that and my fabulous newest best friend waitress brought me a gallon of sweet tea when I asked for their biggest portion. I stuck with brisket in various forms all five times I ate here. Every meal was perfect whether to go or dine in and the service was always easy and fun. Really a great little place.

I really liked Little Richards BBQ sauce. And the onion rings were really good. I tried the brisket and next time I’ll try the chicken. The service was excellent and the food was ready quickly. For a small town, it was great. It’s easy to access right off the I421 and I’ll stop here again next time I come through Yadkinville.

I’ve always like little Richard’s..haven’t been in a year or so! Me and the wife went today and it’s about ridiculous on prices! I wanted a Spudzilla they don’t offer the beef brisket anymore and they don’t even offer a side with it! $13.00 for a spud and 3 to 4 dollars for a side 17 dollars pulse 3 dollars for a drink! 20 a person no tax or tip added! Just stupid for what you get if your raising the price give more options not take options away! My wife and I will not be returning! Not worth it

First, the food got mixed up with my husband’s order. Also, I was given a wrong side on my order and then they wanted to charge additionally for it. Food was okay and at room temperature. The server was not very attentive.

I have NEVER been ignored like I was at this restaurant today, Sat. Dec. 20th, 2025. I even asked the hostess at the front with long dark hair (after being ignored as she seated a family and other customers that came in AFTER me), if I needed to order at the counter since I obviously made a mistake when I obeyed the “please be seated” sign at the front door. She said, yes your order will be taken at your table. She proceeded to only give attention/service to the customers that she recognized as they walked in the door. I finally asked the cute young waitress for a menu, she gave me one hurriedly, but continued to only serve the other customers who came in the door after me. She seemed intimidated by the older hostess.
Once my bf and I were ignored more than 6 more times, we left the restaurant and found a wonderful italian restaurant with nice staff who wanted to work and make a good tip. I will not waste time and money on establishments that employ rude hostesses. It is a shame because the food smelled so good.
