Valentine dinner was amazing! My husband, daughter, and I tried Ichiban for the first time tonight and we couldn’t have been happier. Our server, Josh, was spot on all evening and completed an awesome experience. Thank you, Josh, and all of the staff.
Now about the food. We ordered miso and egg drop soups. The broths were delicious. We had calamari as an appetizer and I can say it’s some of the best I’ve had. It came out fresh and crispy. My daughter got a chicken bento box, I had the teriyaki steak and my husband got the pork. Everything was fresh, we’ll seasoned and well presented. We will be back.

this place was great!! we showed up just after 9pm, as we had just arrived in town for a show, and it was the only sushi place open until 10pm. they were very welcoming and didn’t pressure us to rush or hurry out at all, although we were respectfully mindful of the time and were finished and paying by closing time. the sushi was amazing, the atmosphere was very nice, and the staff was warm and friendly. 10/10 would return.

I would like to share my sincere appreciation for Becca at Ichiban. She delivered the kind of service that turns a good meal into a memorable experience. From the moment she greets you, she brings a calm, attentive presence that makes you feel genuinely cared for. She knows the menu well, offers thoughtful suggestions without ever being pushy, and checks in at just the right moments.
What stands out most is her combination of professionalism and warmth. She manages her tables with ease, keeps everything running smoothly, and still finds time to make each guest feel welcome. It’s clear she takes pride in her work, and it shows in every interaction.
Becca is a true asset to Ichiban, and her service is a big part of why dining there felt enjoyable and well‑paced. I highly recommend her to anyone visiting the restaurant.

Sushi experience in Pensacola. The food was good, both the salad and the sushi, I didn’t expect such a big salad. The problem was the service, we waited an hour or more to get the food. Another problem was that the place was a little bit cold. They can do a lot better for sure.
Edit: I have to update the review, right now is the best place I’ve tried for sushi. Yes if you come near the closing time you will have a lot of problems (and IMO they shouldn’t allow you to sit) but if you came early you con enjoy the food and the service. They also make changes if you ask for something, great!

each plate was 10/10 we got the yaki udon with THE most tender beef I’ve had anywhere, warm spices and delicious mushrooms (my favorite). The red tiger was perfect with tender tuna, light, crispy cucumber, flaked tempura and topped with spicy ponzu. The egg drop soup was cozy and simple, lastly the cheese yakimando were familiar and delicious as always. I have no doubt everything on the menu from ichaban is killer. The atmosphere was soft and tranquil lit by romantic candles sitting in the center of each table surrounded by walls with captive art pieces. Regan took care of us and was perfectly attentive and knowledgeable . Absolutely recommend.
