My partner and I have visited The Cherry Pit many times for their fantastic dessert pies, but this was our first time trying their dinner…and it did not disappoint!

The service was warm and friendly, and our food came out quickly and fresh. My partner ordered the meatloaf dinner, which was rich, flavorful, and perfectly hearty, paired with creamy mashed potatoes, and savory, rustic cornbread (so good!). I had the Monte Cristo sandwich, crispy on the outside, with gooey melted cheese and tender meat inside. Absolute perfection!

We also shared the fried zucchini medallions, which were golden and crunchy, topped with shredded Parmesan and served with a tasty red dipping sauce. The cozy, clean diner atmosphere made the meal even more enjoyable. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home.

We’ll definitely be back to explore more of their dinner menu. If you’re in Greensboro and craving homestyle comfort food with a smile, The Cherry Pit is a must-visit!

We stopped here for a quick lunch on the way to the airport. I ordered the Turkey Melt with a salad and cherry vinaigrette dressing. He got the burger and fries. They were both delicious. They also have Cheerwine as one of the drink choices, yum!!
Service was quick and friendly. Would have gotten a slice of pie, but maybe next time when we are in the area.

I had a croissant breakfast sandwich, which was perfectly adequate. The young ladies at the counter were nice enough, helpful enough. No complaints there.

The cherry pie, however, which was the reason that I stopped here in the first place, was a terrible disappointment.
The crust was fairly awful, a gummy, pasty mix. The cherry filling was your basic canned pie filling. Heavy on the cornstarch and sugar, very light on the cherries. Had 12 small cherries.
Just very disappointing.

Hey yall stopped in for breakfast and of course PIE! Isn’t it pretty? Tasty too, cherry! Breakfast, egg cheese crossiant was ok. Nice, but busy location, small interior, congested parking lot. Friendly and helpful staff. Worth a drive and try!

First time ordering pies here. The key lime pie was good but needed more key lime. The chocolate pie’s crust was pretty raw. Not browned enough. The flavors were good.

Had breakfast there and it was hot and delicious. The menu is nothing crazy, very traditional American breakfast. Which can be great because it’s simple to order. The sweet options are awesome. We had the French toast platter and a croissant sandwich with the home fries. The home fries were nice and crispy. We accompanied that with a coffee and orange juice. The coffee wasn’t hot, more lukewarm but tasty. The coconut cream pie was delicious! Not overly sweet, just had a great balance. The customer service was very pleasant. Overall good breakfast. I will most likely go back for another slice of pie

Never had a bad meal here. Great food every time.
The vegetable soup and chicken salad half and half meal was wonderful. The dollar brownies are unreal.
The pie filling stuffed French toast breakfast is massively delicious.
One of my favorite restaurants in Greensboro. So glad the virus hasn’t shut them down.
Went Sunday and ate inside. We were the only customers there, but their takeout business was booming. Free fountain drinks for the delivery companies drivers was a nice touch.
Their small dining room was sectioned off for social distancing, but their once booming, wait to be seated energy was sadly missing.
Food was wonderful, and so glad they’re hanging in there.
Enjoy if you get a chance!

We were on the way home from playing soccer at Brian Park and looking for something different for dinner and ran across Cherry Pit Cafe an and decided to give it a try. We decided to split the Buffalo chicken wrap and club sandwich our child got the cheeseburger. Everything was hot and super fresh when it came out to our table. Sides were fries and zucchini bites. The zucchini bites are a must have! They are served fried and covered with freshly grated parmesan cheese and marinara sauce. The desserts looked amazing and I’m sad to say that we didn’t try any but the fruity pebble cheesecake was calling my name. I will be back and will try it on our next visit. I highly recommend this spot especially if you’re there playing soccer because it’s so close to the fields.

So, it’s a Monday afternoon and I’m hungry! I didn’t want to cook and I wanted to try a new restaurant. After a Google search of nearby restaurants, I chose Cherry Pit Cafe & Pie Shop!

I ordered online for pickup. I placed my order while I was still home at 2:14pm. The ETA for my food being ready was 15-30 minutes. Ordering online charged a $1.50 convenience fee. As I’m typing this, I realized I could’ve just called and placed the order to avoid that.. Oh well.

After ordering, I went ahead and headed to the restaurant since I didn’t live far away. got the Big Tex Burger (BBQ sauce, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, and tomato on grilled Parmesan Texas toast) minus the tomato and lettuce and added grilled onions. As a side, I got the sweet potato tots. On Mondays, they have $2 off burgers. They have a special for each day of the week.

I arrived at 2:19pm. Of course, my food wasn’t ready yet. However, while browsing, I saw a desert item that looked delicious: Brownie Ate My Cookie. I ended up getting that too when my order was ready. I can’t say when that was because I stepped out to take a phone call. When I went back in around 2:45pm, it was ready.

I didn’t like how they didn’t put my dessert is the bag with my food. The staff person just placed it on top. When I got in the car, the food and dessert smelled delicious and i was eager to get home and satisfy my hunger! The tots were tasty and were as expected. I enjoyed my burger as well, especially the toast! The Brownie Ate My Cookie was very interesting. I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds to warm it/soften it. The cookie was in the middle. It was very chocolatey and definitely came apart while I was eating it. This could’ve been caused by me warming it up. Nonetheless, it was tasty but I’m not sure if I’d get again.

I usually love this place but customer service? Trash. They forgot a third of my takeout order, when I notified them they told me the only option was to go all the way back to the restaurant and get it. I reluctantly did and asked if they could refund just that part of my order. They said no. No offer of delivery, no offer of refund, not even an offer of a slice of pie or SOMETHING to offset the gas price and inconvenience of going back. Keep in mind, their prices aren’t that cheap. Very disappointed.
