Hole in the wall yet authentic looking restaurant. In summary, food is good but would not recommend sketchy business.
We were recommended by a friend to try this place since their food is apparently pretty good in Waltham, so we gave it a try. I was really looking forward to trying, but there were a lot of bad impressions accumulated towards the end of our visit.
1. When we arrived, there were only 2 wait staff, so it took about 5 minutes for them to seat us. We just thought maybe it’s just a small run business, so nothing too big of a deal.
2. When we decided what to get, no one checked in with us and even with us trying to get their attention, it took about 10 minutes for us to place our order. Maybe it’s just that they don’t have enough staff today, but there also weren’t that many customers..
3. The food took 20 minutes to come for our table of 2, so by now we’ve been in here for over half an hour! Food is again good. The only noticeable thing is the black burnt marks on the birria, which had a sour bitter taste to it.
4. When we paid, we handed the credit card, which they processed on their tablet. As we waited to then select the tips and sign the tablet, they already MANUALLY SELECTED 25% TIPS WITHOUT TELLING US! I totally get it if their service was top notch to the point where they deserve a fourth of our dinner cost, BUT THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!! If we didn’t ask for the receipt, we wouldn’t even know that they defrauded us!
If you have enough money for them to select the tips for you, as you gamble on their service quality, then sure give it a try. But I’m not coming back for a business that tries to steal my money via tips!

Quaint little Mexican spot serving absolutely delicious food. The beans and potatoes were perfectly cooked, and I loved the rich, cheesy filling. I went with their spiciest green sauce—it wasn’t as fiery as I was craving that day, but still full of flavor and really satisfying.
The staff were super friendly, service was quick, and there’s a small parking lot behind the restaurant which made things easy. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely a place I’d return to for great food and good vibes.

Pretty good Mexican restaurant with very affordable prices! A few delicious vegetarian options, such as quesidillas and the vegetarian plate. Generous portion sizes as well. The service has always been excellent whenever we have eaten here.

I really hate when I have to give a bad review. I have been trying to get food from this place and finally I did. I ordered nachos with asada steak, I said no onions they were full of Onions . The nachos had no flavor at all. I also ordered tacos de lengua also NO flavor. The flautas were ok. $50 + for food that I didn’t eat. Never going back.

My friends and I visited this restaurant for dinner. The food was alright, though a bit pricey—understandable given the location near Boston and current economic conditions. The service was acceptable, and while my chair had a loose seat, I didn’t mind. As a casual spot, I wasn’t expecting fine dining ambiance.
However, I was disappointed that a 25% gratuity was automatically added to our bill and charged without showing us the total first or giving us the option to adjust the tip ourselves. While I understand auto-gratuity policies, 25% seems excessive, especially when 18-20% is the standard for automatic charges.
I would have appreciated transparency and the opportunity to review the bill before it was processed. I’ve attached a photo of the receipt for reference.

we ordered a burrito and a burrito combo which came with enchilada and a spicy shrimp combo. Very delicious. The restaurant had wonderful decorations and had seating inside and outside.

Pretty good! The sodas were great and the outside patio was nice. Just wish the waitresses were a bit more attentive. I loved the nachos- just wish they had hot queso!!! All in all is a pretty good hole in the wall joint for a quick lunch

A nice place for Mexican food! The food is great. The portions are big, so come hungry. The drinks were also great! The staff was very patient and helpful. Great vegetarian options!
