“This store is dedicated to people united by their courage to serve our country.”
This store is located near Scott Air Force Base, OFallon, IL. They offer limited edition military merchandise.
I stopped by here for few hours and I really appreciated the baristas and how much they kept a positive attitude, despite being short staffed and getting through crowd rush hour. I ordered some food and hot beverage and all tasted good.
This store supports military big time. Although, they’re small on the inside with limited seating, they show love in a much bigger way. They accommodated each customer and made sure they were comfortable and completely satisfied.
When I visited the Starbucks HQ in Washington, I met a friendly front desk lady who shared with me that her and her spouse were both in military.
She also shared with me, “Starbucks focuses on hiring thousands of military personnel to help them keep their jobs, should they or their spouse have to be transferred to another location.“
“No matter where they are transferred for military purposes, Starbucks has their baristas back. They offer smooth transition into a new store for them. Making new friends is a bonus.”
My order was made fresh, efficient and tasted great. I enjoyed my stay here, while on business. If you’re a military member, come by here and enjoy your stay.
Ordered a Black Tea that was good. The staff that helped friendly, the store was clean in the front. Men’s restroom dirty.
I probably would not return based on manager interaction.
The service here around 4-6 on Monday was not the best because one of the lady workers was obnoxious because she kept singing loudly for the whole time we were there ( 2 hours). I could hear her over my music.
The drinks were served at a reasonable rate.
The lady worker was also slightly rude to a non-rude customer. The customer asked a question and she immediately responded with “ I’m just the only one on bar right now so I said it’ll take a minute “ and he said “ I understand if you’re busy” and she said “ nope we’re not I’m just the only one on bar right now”. She also mentioned “ since im so perfect …” and “ I went out on Saturday night” it might’ve just been a joke but I think in a professional setting you should keep some things to yourself or at least speak quieter behind the bar. Maybe I don’t understand making small talk or keeping yourself occupied by talking about personal stuff. But I find it unprofessional to complain about irrelevant things that have nothing to do with work. There is a difference between being friendly and overstepping professional boundaries. The energy was off and it made me want to leave so I did. Her voice was projecting as if she was talking to me. She was speaking about her personal messages out loud. To me it’s a little ridiculous and I’ll try to avoid coming to this Starbucks for as long as possible. To top it off, no greeting upon entering. Obviously she was not being genuine but fake towards customers. I’d rather a toned down friendly attitude than an obnoxious passive aggressive exaggerative attitude. :/
My order: “grande, hot, decaf with soy milk and 3 pumps sugar free vanilla”
