Plain digs with lo mein & other Chinese fare to eat at one of the few tables or take out.

This place serves legit Chinese food, don’t be fooled by the menu of sesame or Kung Pao chicken (which I’m sure are delicious as well). Server recommended stir fry so I went with beef ho fun (flat rice noodles). It was flavourful with plenty of “wok hei” (stir fry taste) and the beef was tender. Don’t forget the Sriracha sauce as the chef recommended.
Ran into the OG Peter during my visit. He transferred ownership of the restaurant to his long time colleagues so he could retire, hence the “employee owned” banner. To Peter: have a great retirement and don’t forget to visit Toronto. I’ll be back next time I’m in Denver!

This food is so good, we always get the plain lo mein, fried rice, sesame chicken and general tao chicken. It’s great that they offer the option to get extra spicy! Sometimes the sesame chicken can be a little extra crunchy but most times it is really good. We got all this food for $40 and it was ready in 15 minutes after we called.

Heard nothing but great things about this place, especially the sesame chicken. We are very picky with our sesame chicken and Chinese food in general. Peter’s definitely exceeded our expectations. We will definitely make the drive into Denver again in the future. Definitely the best sesame chicken we’ve had.

I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for a few years. Just ordered the sesame chicken along with the sesame tofu and the steamed veggie dumplings.
The sesame chicken like others have said is so over fried like they just refried some old leftovers. It’s hard as a rock!! The sesame tofu was pretty bland with not enough sauce on it. The steamed dumplings were decent but also didn’t have much flavor.
Looks like the quality has gone way down in the last few months with the change of ownership.
Please go back to how you used to cook the food and stop over frying to the point of being inedible.

First time. Recommended by medical staff I saw and they weren’t lying when they said how good the food is at a 40+ year establishment. And waiting for my food, an employee asked how my day was going. Love that! I ordered the sesame chicken, beef fried rice and fried dumplings. Delicious! NOTE: they appreciate cash sales vs. credit.

Went for egg drop soup. Was extremely poor in taste. Very bland, hardly any flavor. I have never had to take food back, normally would finish it.. or suck it up, but absolutely could not. Tasted awful and had extreme lack of color. The soup looked like it had specks of dirt or something, maybe pepper… but looked and tasted dreadful. The building seems extremely run down and smelled of dirty water / mildew. First time, and will not be returning.

Every single time, the food is fresh, flavorful, and hits every comfort-food craving… but let’s talk about the real star of the show: the sesame chicken. Hands down the BEST I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy, insanely tender, and coated in the most addictive sweet-savory sauce. I literally dream about it.
The portions are generous, the flavors never disappoint, and it’s one of those places you keep coming back to because nothing else quite compares. Whether you’re a regular or trying it for the first time, do yourself a favor and order the sesame chicken. You’ll be ruined for all other versions forever.

Peter’s Chinese has quietly become one of our absolute favorites in Denver.
It’s unassuming from the outside, but the food is consistently excellent. We usually order the scallion pancakes, General Tso’s chicken, and Mongolian beef, and everything always hits the spot. Cozy, humble, nothing pretentious. It’s just great flavors and a place that genuinely feels loved by the people who run it.
Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates the “hidden gem” style spots that focus on what actually matters: really good food.

We ate last night and I was super excited the crab Rangoon‘s were great. I don’t think those are hard to mess up those( ha ha) our eggrolls and soup and entrées were just kind of bland. They missed some spices! I thought it was a super cute place -little hole in the wall, but won’t be going back sadly.

Was really excited to go to this place as I hear good things, but unfortunately was disappointed. The egg drop soup had no flavor and our scallion pancakes were burnt. When I called to the restaurant to let them know the scallion pancakes were burnt they couldn’t do anything about it. The garlic chicken was surprisingly good, but the lo mein was bland. Definitely go somewhere else.
