My experience at 551 West was great. The place was busy, but in a good way—lively, energetic, and welcoming. I stopped in around 6-ish and the place was already popping with music playing over the speakers and sports on the TVs. Groups were looking for tables, and others were heading upstairs to the rooftop bar.
Jimmy might be the best bartender in Lancaster—I’d easily put him in the top five. They offer an excellent selection of draft beer and solid food options. I ordered the three chicken tenders with fries. The food took a little while, but it was worth it; everything came out fresh and hot. The price was reasonable too. The chicken tenders were homemade and all white meat—juicy and moist.
As I was getting ready to leave, the band started setting up. The free live music really adds to the overall vibe and makes 551 West a great spot for meeting coworkers, hanging out with friends, or even meeting new people.

This place offers a great menu. I highly recommend the Jalapeno Burger. Its the best burger I’ve had in a long time. The garlic parmesan fries were great too. Worth the up charge to get these.

Great local bar with great food. The menu has alot to choose from. I decided on trying the 551 peanut butter cheeseburger and it was very good. The service was good. The only thing I will say is good luck finding parking.

best cheesecake ever! apparently it’s homemade. my brother likes the peach burger. my mom got the mushroom soup& my dad got the blue cheese burger. everyone enjoyed their food.

My husband has been here a few times with his friends and always tells me the bar food is a step ahead of other bar food and I would agree. The chicken tenders were extremely fresh and the fries had good flavor but were a bit soggy (we got takeout so that doesn’t help). The cheesesteak was different but good, nothing I would rave over but I wasn’t upset with it. The garlic parm fries were good but also didn’t blow me away. I will say that the portion sizes were very generous. Overall, I’d order takeout again from 551 but it wouldn’t be my first choice of takeout (but that’s likely because it’s bar food).

I called into this restaurant on Friday afternoon for a large work meeting that came up for catering for 20 people. With short notice Craig and his team were able to accommodate the order and put together a build your own pasta and salad bar! Provided all the utensils and even had it ready for me to pickup at 10:45 AM , 15 min before they even opened!! The food was amazing and everyone loved it and were asking where it was from. Would highly recommend this restaurant for any catering or party event, and owe a big thanks to Craig and his team for the help!

The fish tacos were really good. Seems like every place has these on the menu, but few places do them well. This is a place that does them very well. My wife loved her land and sea pasta too. Drinks were good and a decent selection of beers on tap. We’ll definitely be back.

I have celiac disease and my friends and I went here on a whim. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to eat anything here but our server, Bobby, was super helpful. He knew a lot more about cross contamination than most servers I’ve interacted with do.
They do not have a dedicated fryer so anything fried is unavailable. This was totally fine with me because I’d rather be safe than have fried foods!
They have gluten free pasta upon request which I didn’t see on the menu but Bobby mentioned. I ended up getting the wedge salad with blackened shrimp. I was reassured that the kitchen knew of my celiac disease when making my dish. I felt great after eating it, so I believe they made it with great care. The food was good for bar food. Our cocktails were delicious. Everything was reasonably priced.

First time here and experience was great. The chili is very good and came out the table quickly. Ordered the peach burger and pastrami sandwich, delicious, and chocolate orange cheesecake for dessert. Highly recommend stopping in for a great meal and a cold beer, nice selection.
