I have eaten here occasionally since the 1990s but the last visit was a couple years ago and the food was mediocre. Today we had a birthday dinner here and I was shocked at how good the food was. The flavor was fantastic and a huge improvement.

The exterior of this building is uninspiring. The inside is a lot more festive. The service is good.
The chips are awful – dry and hard. The salsa was bland. That’s a rough start for a Mexican restaurant. Somehow, the meals were definitely good.
Overall we enjoyed the meals and the atmosphere, but we would skip chips and salsa next time.

The food was ok, my husband ordered the chorizo quesadilla and it was so greasy he couldn’t eat it. The water fountain in the middle of the restaurant is beautiful but the smell is so bad it put me off my food. They need to make it just a fountain and not a working one. Our service was ok but we waited like 15 min for our server to come back. She only came once, and we had to ask someone else for our check.

I went here for lunch, and there were quite a few patrons already there, so I figured the food must be good. I think that for those who frequent this restaurant, the taste definitely works for them. I did enjoy the featured dip, and the service was nice. They had a lot of specials available and the prices were definitely reasonable. It seems as if La Mesa has been in business for quite some time as the wear shown on the structure. I am happy to have had the opportunity to try this place out but can not say that I will be back.

La Mesa, The Table is where we set and Break Bread. This place is so Vibrant. So good. Everything was delicious. Customer service was great. Food made fast and Hot. Endless salsa and chips. What’s there not to love? Also daily specials to fit anyones budget Including families with kiddos! Buy one entree get one 50 percent off. All you can eat tacos on Tuesday’s. Love this Place!

Very disappointed today. Ordered a meal of chicken and beef fajitas was supposed to have rice and beans they were never brought even though asked about them a couple times. Then asked would they take off some of the price since it was supposed to be a meal instead I was told that those are free. The point is the menu shows it all as total meal. So anyway very disappointed will be a long while or never that I come back or tell others about this place with good reviews.
