I had a wonderful experience at La Casita, thanks to Luis. Even in the short time I interacted with him, he made a great impression. He took my order with kindness and professionalism, and his respectful, welcoming attitude truly stood out. Excellent guest service goes a long way, and Luis delivered it effortlessly.

The food was just as impressive! I ordered the chicken tacos and tamales, and both were delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

Overall, Luis provided outstanding customer service, and the food was top-notch. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

We’ve visited this location on average about twice a year. For the most part, the food is good. The customer service is always great. The lady at the front counter is awesome. She is always friendly and appreciative! The enchiladas and menudo are good. The green chile is different, but really not bad. I haven’t had it in a while. A friend of mine says it’s the best! The fajitas burrito is really small for the price. It was my first time trying the chile rellenos. I thought they would be smothered in some type of chile, but weren’t. No biggie, I didn’t ask. They are thick with a lot cheese in them and have a thick layer of breading on them. Their tortillas are the best, and you always get 2 with a dinner plate/combo. They are made fresh with your order! The soppapillas are hot, soft, and sweet! They also had a deal going on for 2 free drinks and an order of soppapillas with the purchase of 2 dinner plates. We paid an average of $16 per person with tip.

Came in to buy a dozen tortillas and politely asked for salsa. You’d think I asked for the keys to the building. The guy flat-out said “no” in the most smug, smart-ass tone possible. No explanation, no courtesy, just attitude.

If basic customer service is too much to ask, just say that. Tortillas were fine, but the experience was so unnecessarily rude it completely ruined it. Plenty of places sell tortillas without acting like you’re inconveniencing them by existing. Won’t be back.

Seems like other people have trouble with the older guy that works there too. Unless ya’ll have multiple rude workers. The lady was kind. Got my order wrong, I got two burritos, one was right, the other wasn’t. I ate the correct one and then bit into the second burrito and realized it was wrong, so I asked to get the right one and the old dude with the glasses and tattoos was so rude. It isn’t hard to fix a mistake. I was accused of eating everything including the wrong burrito, when it was in the bag next to me and I was about to show it. I was snapped at saying he can’t do anything for me and then he stormed off. Guy is too old to act like that. My 2 year old nephew has better manners than that. Then the lady came by and was kind and gave me the right thing.

With been going here for over 20 years. But the past year the service and the food and the portions have plummeted down dramatically. But the prices have skyrocketed. We keep trying to give it another chance but unfortunately, after this last time we won’t be returning. It’s sad to say because they have been a staple in Colorado Springs. Paid over 10 freaking dollars for two crispy beef tacos with extra cheese. There was just enough food in both tacos for one taco . And not even enough cheese for one taco. We’ve reluctantly returned time after time and stressed to do it right over and over and over and it’s going in one ear and out the other . Unfortunately, along with many other locals , we’re done going to lacasita .

Um there was 3 people working during rush hour… I would blame that on bad management. The people who worked there seemed nice enough but waited in the drive through for 45 minutes before I had to just ask for a refund and move on to a place that accommodate. They did offer a drink for me waiting but didn’t accept maybe next time I give arl review on their food

I used to love coming here and getting the carnitas but this time was different. The pork doesn’t taste good and is very chewy and dry. The tortillas used to be my favorite but this one taste dry and old. The burrito is a 0.
Which is sad because I had a burrito last week at the 8th street location and it was so good. Waste of $11

Ordered two plate dinners and one soft drink. After paying and before we got our dinners, we noticed a special posting in the dining room. The posting said with the order of two plates, two free soft drinks and a free order sopapillas were included. When picking up our order we asked if we should notify the meal preparer when we were ready for the sopapillas. She said they were not on the order. I pointed out the sign and she responded that they were not on the order and we should have told the cashier/ manager when we ordered. After finishing our meal I approached the cashier/manager at the pickup counter. He asked what he could do for me and I asked for the sopapillas. He immediately said that doesn’t apply because we used a coupon. I said we did not use a coupon and he again said we did. I showed him our receipt and asked him to please show me the coupon that he said we used. He looked at the receipt which showed 2 plates and 1 soft drink at full price, qualifying for the offer. He mumbled something and I got the impression that he would fulfill the order. I did not mention the free soft drink that we paid $2.99 for. After waiting about 20 minutes it became apparent that we were not going to get the sopapillas and we walked out. We have been patrons since their first location on S. Nevada Ave. The food has always been, and still is great. Unfortunately for them I do not appreciate the inference that I am a liar and their failure to honor their offer. Sadly, we are no longer customers.

I ordered Christmas Tamales for pickup on Christmas Eve like I have over the last 20 years. They were busy as always but so unorganized this year, I waited 45 minutes just for them to put 2 dozen tamales and 2 dozen tortillas in a bag and hand them to me. When I went back to the counter to ask about my order it was immediately filled and handed to me. So sad to see how bad customer service has slipped over the years!! By the way not even an apology was given!
