If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Cape Coral, do yourself a favor and visit Gusto Cucina Italiana on Del Prado.

This place is the real deal. Family owned and operated for more than 10 years, and you can taste the pride in every single bite.

Tonight we ordered the Chicken Parmesan and the Chicken & Shrimp LaRosa, and wow… absolutely incredible.

The chicken parmesan was perfectly breaded, topped with rich marinara and melted mozzarella, sitting on a bed of creamy pasta. Comfort food at its finest.

The Chicken & Shrimp LaRosa was next level. Tender chicken, shrimp, spinach, tomatoes, and melted cheese all swimming in a buttery garlic sauce that had our palates singing. Every bite felt like something straight out of an Italian kitchen.

You can tell when a restaurant cares about their food, their recipes, and their guests. This place delivers all three.

If you live in Southwest Florida or you’re visiting Cape Coral, put Gusto’s on your list.

Our first time, highly recommended by a friend. I called to make a reservation the lady was pleasant on the phone. The place is a very deceiving from the outside and small in the inside, very quiet but busy. The owner greeted us and had us wait until our table was clean. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable about the wine list and menu. The owner did come by and introduce herself and made sure everything was good. All the items we ordered were on point and fresh. We will be back for more. Enjoy the pictures.

1st time customer, recommended by friends. Excellent service, great food selection. We went early because we heard it fills up fast. Small cozy atmosphere. Delicious food. Good portion sizes. I had the special Grouper & Shrimp Francese. It was amazing! Fresh, bright, lite and satisfying!(see photo below!) I’ll definitely be back!

It you’re looking for straightforward, high quality Italian, this is it! We’ve eaten here 7-8x and after ordering more than half of the menu items we can trust we’re always going to get a good meal. The chicken parm is on point when so many others can’t get this Italian staple right! The calamari is always fresh and light. The owner Raquel is incredibly friendly as is every server that’s helped us. We are so grateful for this local gem!

Make a reservation for 4+, it’s cozy.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had — including dinners across Italy and in NYC. It’s in the most unassuming location. Tucked away. Small and intimate. Owner greeted and seated us. Service was top notch and our meals phenomenal. We got salads to start followed by eggplant parm (so good), rigatoni borgetto, bolognese, and gypsy capellini. We were visiting my in laws who winter in FL. Can’t wait for next year’s trip…we’ll be back!

A hidden gem. If you blink your eyes, you’re going to miss it! But if you find, it will be a most pleasant experience! Greeted by owner Raquels son Issac. Welcoming and funny. Server Melanie was excellent! Food was spot on and cooked too perfection. [Ref: I am an Italian Chef/ Restaurant Consultant]. We had the Mozz Fritta first. Then we all had a seafood/pasta dish. Not one piece of seafood was overcooked! Excellent job in kitchen, that is open and you can see them cook. The kitchen was spotless and well organized. Impressed.
The owner came and spoke with the table. A beautiful and pleasant owner. Ended meal with Cappuccino and Creme Brulee. The one who doesn’t like creme rules ate it all! Good job!
My only reservation I have leaving this review is that it will make them super popular (deservedly so) and it will be hard to get a table when we go out!
Thank you Raquel and Isaac along with their outstanding staff for making our first dining experience there so fantastical! Can’t wait to go back and start eating my way through the menu! Keep up the great work Gusto!!!

We love this quaint, intimate Italian restaurant. Visited for the second time recently and the wonderful service, great food and warm experience was just the same as the first. The owner, Raquel, came by the table multiple times to say hi and check on our service. Highly recommend Gusto Cucina to anyone if you want good authentic Italian food and service.

Wow. A friend from New York recommended this hidden gem. We drove up from Miromar Lakes and had an absolutely fabulous meal. Started with the calamari and caprese salad. Just a wonderful small restaurant with excellent food, wine and service. Raquel the owner was warm, welcoming and wonderful. Great value for such wonderful cuisine. We will be back.

Great meal for New Year’s Eve with a party of 6. Reservation was at 7:30, restaurant called at about 6:45 to let us know they were running about 10 minutes late. Great customer service!!! They only serve wine and beer for alcoholic beverages. The menu was one page, but offered a good selection of made to order dishes. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful…the pictures on the wall and music made me think I was in the movie,”The Godfather”.

Can easily say this is the best authentic Italian restaurant in the area. Ever since I moved back to Cape Coral, I’ve caught myself quite frequently missing the Italian restaurants that sat consistently on the Michelin guide in Orlando. I can undoubtedly say that Gusto Cucina is just as good quality, if not, better than my favorite restaurants on that list. During my search for good quality Italian cuisine, I had found myself decently disappointed when trying the countless recommendations I received, that is, until I tried Gusto Cucina. Gusto Cucina flawlessly executed every aspect of a staggering dining experience. My girlfriend and I were well pleased with the delicious and the good quality food we were served. Every aspect of our appetizers, entrées, and dessert outperformed our expectations. We had the Penne Borgetto as well as the Pork Milanese; both meals had us taken aback. The pork was fried faultlessly; the breading was flavorful and crispy while keeping the meat itself still tender and full of moisture. The penne itself was cooked just right and was complimented well with a very tasteful tomato cream sauce. Every aspect of both dishes were marvelous.
We followed our meals with a chocolate panna cotta that encompassed a smooth texture and delicious flavor. The service provided by our waitress Melanie was phenomenal, even the server assistant was kind and helpful. The owner was very sweet, personable, and seemed passionate about what she does, which definitely shows in the food. We will definitely be telling our friends and family about this restaurant. This quality isn’t something you’ll find too easily. We’re excited to be returning soon to Gusto Cucina.
