The Coffman Review
We arrived on a beautiful Friday afternoon. My daughter went with me and we found a table outside in the shade for the four of us.

Here is what we ordered:

Hand Breaded Tenderloin with Chips
Hand Breaded Tenderloin with Onion Rings
Breakfast Wrap with Hash Browns
Grizzly Grand Breakfast

The tenderloins were thick slabs of pork with tasty breading. Classically dressed, they were excellent examples of the Hoosier favorite.

The onion rings were fantastic! So good, in fact, that my mom ordered a plate to share with the table after she tried one off my dad’s plate. Everyone was happy!

For my Grizzly breakfast I selected the breaded tenderloin, seasoned potatoes, and a biscuit. I topped half the tenderloin, potatoes, and eggs with gravy. I put the other half of the tenderloin on the buttered biscuit. Heaven! It wasn’t exactly cardiologist-friendly but I didn’t care.

The gravy was peppered, the hash browns were crunchy. I thought the biscuit looked sad at first glance but it proved to be moist and delicious. So good!

Ann’s has its own parking lot, but there is also plenty of street parking nearby.

The food was fantastic!! The pancake was probably the best I have ever had. Staff was very attentive and efficient. The dining area is a bit small and crowded, but overall a good atmosphere. Will definitely be back for more!

We’ve been here a few times but my recent visit I noticed an automatic gratuity of 20% was added to our bill. Our party consisted of three people, and I was surprised to see a mandatory gratuity applied, as this is typically reserved for larger groups.
I’m always happy to tip appropriately for good service, but I would have appreciated being informed ahead of time or given the option to decide the gratuity myself.

I love and adore Ann’s. Not only because they have THE MOST FIRE onion rings, but also because of the morals, values, and just good people providing jobs to good people in need and did i say, they serve the most FIRE onion rings?
P.S My boss is better than yours, she sprung for her “Groups Recover Together ” team for lunch at Ann’s this afternoon!

Really really great restaurant!! They were super busy when we got there, but we were seated and served incredibly fast. The food was excellent, even though I couldn’t finish it. My mom had the spinach salad with French dressing, and I had the bacon ranch wrap with chips. Now I’m not usually a huge fan of chips, but WOW they were probably my favorite thing. The staff was very friendly, once again despite being very busy. Our food was out to in probably about 15 minutes, and I think our table was cleaned before we were even out the door! I will absolutely be going back next time I’m passing through. My only complaint was that the floor definitely needed some cleanup, but in the middle of lunch I can understand how that is difficult. I also think it’s worth noting that they had a pretty large parking lot, with lots of street parking options as well, which is sometimes a rarity with local restaurants.

I’ve been here several times and it’s always been excellent. Their pork tenderloin sandwich is top tier for the south of indy area. Their specials are always very good, and if you’re up for it, their homemade cobbler is an excellent dessert. I drop atmosphere from a 5 to a 4 simply because it’s rather loud in the dining area and they’re only open Monday through Friday and lunch only. The management and wait staff are always extremely attentive and friendly. I’d give more stars for service if I could especially because this place is always packed and they never miss a beat.

Walking into Ann’s gives the feeling of goodness! You’re looking forward to great food from a tight small space.

The place was packed when we arrived, a good sign! The bus person greeted us promptly; taking our drink order.

They have two levels of seating, upstairs is for larger groups.

Looking over the menu the prices are reasonable. Soda is $1.99 like a majority of restaurants. I drank water – free!

The drinks arrive in plastic glasses with advertisements from area businesses!

This style is permanent rather than placemats which are able to be cycled once a month.

The “waitress” visited the table and I asked how long the advertisements were used before changing to new glasses. She said every couple of years, which tells me she doesn’t know.

The water glasses, clear, have different advertisements than the soda, red, glasses.

While admiring the restaurant and all of its light from the entire walls of glass, an article on the wall says Ann’s gives new opportunities to recovering addicts. How awesome!

We arrived at 10:18am,
Ordered drinks at 10:22am,
ordered food at 10:30am,
Food arrived at 10:55am – once food arrived the waitress never returned to check on us!
Check arrived after request at 11:15am
Departure at 11:21am

The gravy has way to much pepper (spicy). The egg sandwich is cooked perfectly!

The biscuits (in biscuits and gravy) are not made from scratch based on taste, hard to explain but its doughy bland.

The fried biscuits are coated in brown sugar, powder sugar, and comes with apple butter together or separate they’re delicious!

This place brings the flavor to the table, but they can’t cook eggs with runny yolk and the whites done (medium well) but not many places can. Cooking eggs is about timing and proper heat.

Over all a great visit, the sounds of happiness ring thought-out with crying kids, and chatter among the patrons.

Franklin’s oldest restaurant! It’s open Monday through Saturday, 6am-2pm. Great friendly service. The lunch rush was on today, completely packed, and most likely it is everyday because the food is THAT GOOD! Plenty of parking, handicap accessible. It’s really a Nice and clean place. I had order to go with coffee and I was surprised it was a huge cup… actually all the portions are impressive.

Super fun and friendly place that bills itself as Franklin’s oldest restaurant. Came in for breakfast, and was promptly greeted and seated. The cinnamon roll was quite good, with a scoop of whipped butter on top, melting through the whole thing. Also had the spicy breakfast wrap, which was quite tasty. I appreciate that they toasted it, rather than just treating it like a regular burrito. Gave it some additional textural contrast, and helped keep it together. I’ll be looking forward to a return trip!

This is a happening place. Excellent food and service. From Lafayette and tending the grandkids, thought we check-out the town of Franklin. Found this great little restaurant.
