Born into a family with 15 children, Jose Ramirez was lucky number 7. He started his pursuit of this dream as a 13-year-old bagboy at a grocery store in what is known as The Highlands area of Denver. He later worked as a server at Las Palmas, working 60-70 hours per week, eventually becoming the server manager. He would work so much that he would oftentimes sleep in his car while providing for his wife, Martha, and his two sons, Luis and Daniel.Jose saved up enough money to open up the first Los Dos Potrillos location in Centennial in 2002. Jose opened this first location of Los Dos with just $5.18 left in his bank account.

Excellent authentic Mexican food, Fantastic margaritas and drinks, Great atmosphere, top-tier customer service and frankly some of the best house salsa I’ve tasted in the city. I’m so happy that the hacienda restaurant turned into something a lot more delicious and authentic. I highly recommend everybody go here. Try the carnitas. They’re amazing but just on the weekend or get a flight of margaritas like we did. They’re strong and delicious!!

Ordered to go and it was ready in 30 min, its been hard to find good green chili around this area and they delivered. Got the smothered carne asada burrito and it was stuffed with steak also chicharon and bean burrito smothered. Tons of chicaron inside. Ordered chili cheese fries and I appreciate the chili being put on the side of the fries so they dont get to soggy on the drive home. Chips and salsa were included which was a nice surprise. Actual chunks of pork in the chili ! So good ! Will come back to sit down for sure !

Overall a good experience! Our server was wonderful, and helpful with our questions about the menu. The house made chips & salsa were delicious. The house margaritas were DELICIOUS!! I was happy to hear all the dishes that could be made vegan, I opted for the veggie street tacos, with a side of black beans. The tacos were flavorful and appealing, but the black beans were just ok, they needed quite a bit of help (I added some onion, cilantro, and salt/pepper, they had almost no flavor whatsoever). We did arrive during a very busy time, but the wait was short and we ended up hanging out a few hours while the drinks were flowing, and the crowd died down. It was a really good evening, we’ll be back for drinks for SURE. Maybe I’ll try something else on the menu

I’d drive hours for this place (and I do). The chicken and steak are always on point and so fresh! Nachos are great, chicken quesadilla is my favorite, and the margs are always amazing!

The portions were huge! Delicious carne asada but their Cali burrito was just okay. We all loved their tres leches cake! We will definitely be back to try more options.

We had the most amazing time here! We’ve been to other locations but this may become my favorite. The restaurant is Airy and spacious and the food is absolutely amazing! The enchilada plate is always fantastic and the fajitas are incredible. It was my son’s birthday so we also had the tres leches cake which was delicious! Very light and creamy and fluffy. The salsa for the table wasn’t too spicy and it wasn’t too bland. And the guacamole was on point!
Our server was attentive and our drinks never ran dry. Thank you Los Dos for hitting it out of the park again!

Love this place! We arrived during a very busy time on a Friday night, but were given complimentary warm tortillas and cheese to pass the time. Nice touch!
My husband and I both got combo plates. I went with the #15, which was fabulous. We also had great service, and the complimentary chips and salsa were also very tasty.
We ordered tres leches for dessert… That was unfortunately disappointing. The texture was off and it tasted grainy. I’ve had much better at other restaurants and even Whole Foods.
